Art "Don't Mess With Mother Nature" -A Favorite Artist Jim Warren
Another New Favorite Artist
I would like to meet/network with individuals who share similar interests as I do; especially reading and discussing subjects that fall into the areas of spirituality, science, psychology, and philosophy. I prefer discussions with open minded individuals that are not polarized by their beliefs, and who do not resort to ad hominem arguments.
I am currently feeling a bit overwhelmed by the number of add friend requests I am getting. Please do not take it personally if I do not add you as a friend. I cannot possibly keep up with the 300 plus people I have already added.
I make personal time for all my friends who take the time to comment on my blogs, as this is the most efficient way to keep up with people and the most meaningful for me. If you would like me to add you as a friend please send me a personal message as I don't always have the time to review each and every profile on my friends request pages, but I do make the time to get through my personal messages and blog comments.

I was the only girl out of three brothers. Lost my youngest brother Scott in 2003 to AIDS. Losing Scott was the hardest thing I have ever experienced as I was closer to him then anyone else at the time of his death. Click her to swim into deeper waters and a slideshow of Scott.

John Lennon - Imagine
It is beyond grief that so many of the great men of history; who stood for peace, should die such violent deaths.
Quote by Mark Chapman as to why he shot Lennon:
I've pent up all my aggression, kept swallowing it and swallowing it.
He said he remembered Lennon's wife Yoko Ono walking up to the police car where he was sitting after his arrest, and looking at him but saying nothing.
"That was a very traumatic thing that I blocked out of my memory for several months," he told the board. To read more.
We will NOT be silenced!
Click her to swim into deeper waters and a slideshow of the SF Peace March.Through some twist of fate, not planned by me, I found myself on February 16, 2003 at the San Francisco peace rally with a camera.
Millions of people rallied, in approximately 800 cities around the world. It is listed by the 2004 Guinness Book of Records as the largest protest in human history. In Rome alone around three million people turned out for this event.

"The voice of the sea is seductive; never ceasing, whispering, clearing, murmuring, inviting the soul to wander for a spell in the abysses of solitude; to lose itself in mazes of inward contemplation. The voice of the sea speaks to the soul. The touch of the sea is sensuous, enfolding the body in its soft, close embrace."
~Kate Chopin, The Awakening

Favorite Hero Quotes:
"Love your neighbor as yourself ... The kingdom of God is within you...Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone."
~ Jesus"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same god who has endowed us with sense, reason and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."
~Galileo Galilei
"I have never had a feeling, politically, that did not spring from ...the Declaration of Independence ... that all should have an equal chance ... I would rather be assassinated on this spot than surrender it."
~Abraham Lincoln"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
- Albert Einstein
~Albert Einstein"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
~Mahatma Gandhi"The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed."
~Carl Jung"Man must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love."
~Martin Luther King Jr."I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It's just that the translations have gone wrong."
~John Lennon"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop."
~Mother Teresa"Everyone needs to be valued. Everyone has the potential to give something back."
~Princess Diana"And this wise man asked me to stop. He said, 'Stop asking God to bless what you're doing. Get involved in what God is doing -- because it's already blessed.'"
~Bono"What I know for sure is that behind every catastrophe, there are great lessons to be learned. Among the many that we as a country need to get is that as long as we play the "us and them" game, we don't evolve as people, as a nation, as a planet."
~Oprah Winfrey
"Every woman should have four pets in her life. A mink in her closet, a jaguar in her garage, a tiger in her bed, and a jackass who pays for everything."?
~Paris Hilton
(Just Joshing wanted to see if you were really paying attention:) This little jewel of wisdom won her the prestigious award over all the other shallow people I could have put in her place. She is priceless unless you happen to be her jackass ;)
