DJWASP ABHORS COUPLE SOCIAL MODEL
BIO
Born in Rome on
20 August 1987, Milo Silvestro alias
DjWasp, electronic music producer,
turntablist, synth and electronic live
performer and drummer. The highest
peculiarity of DjWasp was always
his musical originality and flexybility.
He started play with computer music,
patterns and loops at the age of 11,
discovering his big passion and musical talent.
One year later he began to play
drums and percussions and became
a complete musician, studying at "Timba"
ethnic percussion school and few years later
at "Santa Cecilia" Rome music conservatory.
He used to listen to ethno/folk and world music,
but cause of his electronic roots he
slowly change his musical direction,
expecially when he discovered "Safri Duo".
It started a big love for the crossover
between dance/trance and live energic
percussions. Loving live performances,
a few time later DjWasp started to be
interested by turntables and scratch
tecniques inspired by the greatests of
turntablism such as Q-Bert, Dj Craze,
Dj Woody, Skizo, etc. Almost in the
same time he began to be an electronic
performer and play electronic instruments
such as synthesisers, midi controllers,
samplers, grooveboxes, falling in love
with many different electronic styles:
Drum and Bass, HardCore, Trance,
Techno, House, Ambient, Minimal,
privileging always the live side of electronic
music and the visibility of electronic
instruments on stage like few people do.
He had a lot of musical experiences from
jazz to ethnic, from rock to metal, from
live electronics to hip-hop.
Hard sound was always a big passion for
DjW, that's why
he rules mostly nu-metal and crossover
styles and he likes to play as a Dj or
electronic performer in this kind of band,
as he did for a lot of time.
