About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor - Image Hosting

Got together last May and jammed around a while when chief songwriter Kyle brought in the songs that would shape The Lane sound. With their anthemic songs, and obvious influences from Oasis, Stone Roses, Libertines and Stereophonics, 3-piece The Lane spent more time in their rehearsal room than in their own houses. The year 2007 came and went, with the band hoping to make 2008 the year of The Lane, and theyve certainly had a go of it. Equipped with 12 of their own songs, in early January they played alot of local gigs, taking in places in Cowdenbeath, Dundee and Rosyth. The turnout for their first few gigs was alot more than expected, with everyone locally talking about the hype of this new band. By February, the band went into the studio to record what would be known as These Are The Times EP.Dont take our word for it, come and see what all the fuss is about!!
