Those Transatlantics

...was it business or did we just get bored?

About Me

"The lush harmonies and orchestral pop-rock of Michigan’s Those Transatlantics sometimes recall The Cowsills and The Monkees, but the updated sonic textures minimize the retro potential. Here, the instruments have personalities as distinct as the vocals of multiple singers, and with no spotlight-hogging solos to disrupt the band’s spirit of community, the result is a unifying, family-like cohesion."

My Interests

Band Members: Kathleen Bracken plays funny little instruments that people who aren't surrounded by water don't know much about and also sings quite a lot, as does Mike Spence, who also plays guitar and some keys, but doesn't do the latter nearly as well as Dan Louisell who tickles those but also plays guitar, bass, and miscellaneous percussion instruments while "oohing" and "ahhing" in his falsetto register, which is very different, tonally speaking, from the bass guitar-generated frequencies that float around (in a chaotic and omnidirectional non-pattern) from the speakers of Nate King's bass guitar amplifier which usually sits next to Trevor Waldron's drum-kit, a collection of metal and skins that is incredibly insecure because their owner sometimes comes home at night with the lipstick of keys and guitar and various percussion instruments on his collar.
