About Me

Providence Road is a singing group whose mission is to encourage the body of Christ to journey with Jesus through life. The group was formed in 2007, and though their name may be new to the Southern Gospel industry, these young women are well seasoned as individual vocalists and ministers of the gospel. It is truly a passion of theirs to see Southern Gospel embraced by their generation, so that the powerful message in the lyrics will continue to reach multiple generations. Providence Road has something for everyone, with their debut CD including both traditional and progressive southern gospel, along with two a capella selections.
Members:
Laura Sue Brod
Laura Sue grew up with a heritage rich in gospel music. The daughter of a Music Pastor and the granddaughter of celebrated composer Mosie Lister ("Feelin’ Mighty Fine”, “’ Til the Storm Passes By”, “Where No One Stands Alone”, “Goodbye World Goodbye"), Laura Sue understood at a young age just how much God can touch people through music. Recognizing God's call on her life to minister through music, Laura Sue earned a degree in vocal music from the University of South Florida. Following God's leading, she and her husband Andrew moved to Nashville, where they are both active in ministry. Providence Road was formed shortly thereafter.
Christy Grant
Raised in a musical church, Christy has always had a heart for worship. As she reached her teenage years, it became clear to her that God was calling her to full-time Christian service. In order to pursue that calling, she attended Trevecca Nazarene University, where she obtained a degree in Church Music. During her time at Trevecca, Christy traveled on behalf of the University for two years focusing on ministry to congregations throughout the South. Upon the completion of her degree, Christy and her husband Troy choose to stay in Nashville and are very active in their local church where Christy serves as Assistant Choir Director. Christy joined Providence Road in September 2007.
Lindsay Huggins
Lindsay began singing in church as a small child, and knew at an early age that any talent she possessed came from God. Knowing that she wanted to nurture those talents, Lindsay moved to Nashville to attend Trevecca Nazarene University where she earned a degree in Music Business. Though influenced by several genres, Lindsay is no stranger to Southern Gospel music. For several years, her father traveled with award winning songwriter Marcia Henry and Latter Rain, and her mother was her first "vocal coach". Raised in a musical family, Lindsay has always been passionate about singing, but it's the Truth that Providence Road is sharing that she is most passionate about!

Influences:WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO PROVIDENCE ROAD???

IT'S NOT JUST THE MUSIC...

...There's so much more to who we are. What we want you to know more than anything is that God has an AMAZING plan for your life. As you visit our myspace page today, please know that you have already been prayed for by us. It is Providence Road's desire that every ear that hears our music will hear the clear, true, and vital message of Jesus the Christ. The Bible tells us that each one of us is a sinner and is separated from God (Romans 3:23). But, even though we are sinful beings, God loves us enough that He sent Jesus, His very own Son, to come down to earth and die instead of us, for our sins (Romans 5:8). We are also told that we deserve death for our sins, but God instead gives us the figt of eternal life in Heaven with Him, when we accept Jesus as our Savior (Romans 6:23). The only way to enter Heaven is through Jesus (John 14:6).

If you feel as though your life is missing something, like there's no meaning or no hope, or even if you have heard this message a thousand times before but have never committed your life to Christ, now if your opportunity. The Bible says that today should be the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). We have prayed for you that today, while you visit this page, you would realize the need for Jesus, our Savior. If you would like to accept Jesus as the Savior of your life and spend eternity with God in Heaven , pray a prayer like this one:

"God, I know that I am a sinner and that my sins have kept me separated from you. Right now I want to turn away from my sins and start living my life with You in it. Thank you for sending Jesus to come and die for my sins. I believe that Jesus is Your Son, and that He died and rose from death to life. Thank You, God, for hearning my prayer and for allowing me to spend my life dedicated to You. In Jesus' name, Amen."

If you have made a decision to commit your life to Christ today, we'd love to hear from you so we can encourage you! Send us a message!

Blessings,
-Providence Road
