I started out Playing in church when I was around eight I guess? It was me And my brother David, He was six. The first song I remember sing was (I Saw the light). And then I started play the organ for the church but it was An old pump organ and I couldn’t reach the pedals’ so the other kids in church would sit on the floor and work them for me so I could play. My older brother Tommy was out playing music were ever. So sometimes I would get to go with him. So I started play out every chance I could even places that a twelve year old should not have been. But I was doing what I loved and that was to play music. But the LORD had a plan for me. But Like so many do. They don’t listen the first time or the second time the LORD Speaks to them. But he will get your attention! I know cause in 1969 He tried! I was in a car accident that broke just about everything you could break. Cuts all over my body, one side of my nose was gone, the leaders in my throat was cut, one of my eyes was out of the socket, my right hand was Broken up. But what hunt the most was that my best friend had been killed. That was the first time the LORD tried to get my attention! The second time Was in 1971. My mother was shot and killed. And my dad died six months later. So I ask the LORD to forgive me for what I had done, and that I would Do what ever he asks of me. So for someone that the doctor’s said wouldn’t walk, talk or use there right hand. They just didn’t know what the LORD had in his plan for me. For me I didn’t know what was in his plan for me Till one day I was walking down the side walk in Paris, Tenn. And a man Walked up to me that I had never seen before, stopped and looked me in the eyes and said to me. If you can reach one soul with your music it was worth It all. And he turned and walk away. Then I knew what he had in his plan for me. So if the LORD is speaking to you. HE WILL GET YOUR ATTENTION. I KNOW ! God Bless you Sammy..
