In some ways I would say I'm the typical young Nashville country singer - a small town girl who moved to the city with prayers of making a living doing what she loves. I was raised in Sandersville, Georgia, the typical small town where everybody knows everybody. Trips to Wal-Mart are frequent and long because 1) That's the only place to shop and 2) You always run into someone you know. While I wouldn't necessarily turn down a solo career, my goal is to be able to sing backup with a touring artist. I LOVE HARMONIES!! Having grown up in a musical family, I alway knew I wanted to pursue a career in music and many of my Wal-Mart trips included trips to the music section to look for the hottest new country album. My dad is an amazing musician who can play anything with strings and doesn't read one note of music! He began making trips to Nashville to record with a southern gospel group at the early age of 12, and I think if he'd moved to Nashville he could've made a living doing that. (Yes, I'm a little proud!) My mom is a singer and taught me to pay attention to the details. I can still hear her saying "Smile" and "Say your words clearly." I began singing in church as a small child, but I have a feeling I was born singing and just never stopped. And no matter what style of music I try to sing, everything seems to turn country. Unable to deny my dreams and my roots, I moved to Nashville after high school to attend Trevecca Nazarene University where I earned a degree in Business Music. While attending Trevecca, I traveled with a singing group every weekend and all summer singing at churches and youth camps. I believe that the Lord has gifted me with the ability to touch others through music, and I have seen how powerful the message of a song can be. I am currently working to introduce people to my voice, in hopes of opportunities to sing background vocals and do session work. If you need a demo singer or BGV's, I'm your gal!
