Vena, multifaceted rock musician, is the guitarist and singer in the Gula Mons . He's been working for his soloist project since the year 2000, after collaborating with several bands and musicians in western Sicily. Stillness and circularity of sound, inmost restlessness themes within mixtures of kaleidoscopic smoothness are the distinctive features of his compositions.

Vena, musicista poliedrico, di matrice prevalentemente rock, voce e chitarra dei Gula Mons , vive a Palermo. Il suo primo approccio con lo strumento risale al 1988, anno in cui riceve in regalo la sua prima sei corde, per la quale rapidamente riesce a coltivare una passione non indifferente. Ben presto il giovane si diletta a suonare con degli amici negli scantinati. Dal 1993, incomincia a frequentare la scena musicale di Mazara del Vallo, militando in una serie di gruppi locali (tra cui: Aitia / Shadowsphere / Crimson Holt / Nemesis / Leyland Experiment / Linea Gotica / Vulva Fury / The Mystic Blues Society), con numerosi concerti nei club e nelle piazze della provincia. Il percorso musicale, in quegli anni, attraversa i generi più svariati, tra cui: il gothic, il doom, il rock anni ‘70, lo stoner, la psichedelia, il folk, la musica sperimentale, il dark, il blues, l'elettronica. Nel 2000, la decisione di dar vita ad un progetto da solista, permette all'artista di mettere in mostra il suo estro creativo e il suo affinato stile. I tratti distintivi delle sue composizioni sono la morbidezza, la trasparenza e la rotondità dei suoni, in cui si amalgamano caleidoscopiche esperienze di inquietudine interiore e talvolta di serenità. La sua produzione personale fino ad oggi è raccolta in registrazioni per lo più caserecce. Attualmente Vena è impegnato alla stesura dei brani per il debut album. ________________________________________________________
