I'm a filmmaker -- making short comedic films & writing long ones. You can (and should) see four shorts above. Or, (way better idea) to see even more films in all their QuickTime splendor, go to MitchellRose.com My films have won forty-eight awards in film festivals including Elevator World, which won the Grand Prize for Best Short at Slamdance and Modern Daydreams, which won the "Wemmy" for Best Internet Series. Prior to becoming a filmmaker I was a New York-based performance artist. The New York Times dubbed me "the dance world's Woody Allen" which stuck and became my professional identity. I was awarded five Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and toured throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Eventually I was drawn more to visual media. I moved to Los Angeles to become a Directing Fellow at the American Film Institute. And now we're here and you're reading this... and looking at moving pictures from my moving pictures.
