About Me

Ian Curran sings bass with the world renowned Irish classical crossover group, AnÃºna.He studied music and Irish in MIC/University of Limerick. During this time he founded a music society and served as secretary of the Choral society under the direction of Gareth Cox. He graduated with a BA Hons in 1997 and went on to qualify as a secondary school teacher on completion of a Higher Diploma in Education at Maynooth College. It was during this time that he joined the Maynooth Chamber Choir and gained valuable experience in classical performance. Ian will graduate with a research MA in October 2007.

My Interests

Since April 1999 Ian has been part of the dynamic Irish choral group, AnÃºna. With AnÃºna, Ian has toured extensively, including Ireland, UK, US, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Holland and Morocco. Ian was delighted to take part in the filming of AnÃºna's PBS special, Celtic Origins, in Cleveland OH. AnÃºna begins an extensive tour of the US in October 2007.
