I know a load of bands who ask me to take photos of them. Everything on this page is taken with one of two relatively cheap digital cameras [Pentax 5si and some defunct Fuji something-or-other with a battery the size of a fridge that runs out after 10 minutes]. No lenses, no f-stops no darkroom. There are more of my photos on various pages which I have put under the shots in the gallery.
I'm big into photo manipulation. Lots of the messing around with SLRs results in the same effect you'll get by being able to use Photoshop properly. So if you are a photography snob then I apologise for offending you in advance.
I learned everything from my Dad and the video below contains only a few photos that were taken by him in Ireland in the last 30 years. All with a Leica.
He reckons that no amount of equipment will make you a good photographer.
