I am a representative of Hip Hop Culture through Deejaying speaking and organizing people for humanitarian causes. By connecting with Hip Hop icons, legends and activists I’ve been able to continue the tradition set by Afrika Bambaata of Peace, Love, Unity and Having Fun! Since 2001, I have been working with Krs-One organizing several conferences. These conferences include lectures at UDC (University of the District of Columbia, 2003), The 9 Elements conference in Florida (2004) where I was a co-host, organizer and speaker, The National Temple of Hip Hop leadership conference in Los Angeles (2005). In addition, I have organized free lectures for Professor Griff, of the legendary group Public Enemy, in Washington DC (2005). As a representative for the Lyricist Lounge, Intelligent Muzik and Temple of Hip Hop in Washington, DC, I assisted in the organization of tours featuring Dead Prez, Big Daddy Kane, Bootcamp Click, Killa Priest, promotions and setting up interviews. On October 1, 2005 I organized the “Rebuilding Our Communities (ROC)†relief show that was planned, promoted within four weeks to raise money for Katrina Victims. The impressive bill included Immortal Technique, C-ray Walz, Chief Rocker Busy Bee, Just-Ice, and Wise Intelligent of the Poor Righteous Teachers to name a few! In December 2006, The National Congress of Black Women named me a commissioner for the Commission of Truth. This commission was formed to have the statue of Sojourner Truth placed in the U.S. Capitol. On June 19, 2007 I was an organizer for the “Stop the Torture†show at DC’s 930 club which was headlined by Dead Prez, Wise Intelligent and Mystic which sold out. Through Deejaying, organizing and public speaking I want to continue to be a catalyst for positive change.www.intelligentmuzik.comwww.templeofhiphop.orgBooking : [email protected]
