Kansas City native Richard Patterson has been playing guitar and singing blues for over 20 years!In 1989 the band RocknRick and The RoadMasters was formed and is still going strong!There have been so many members that it would be hard to list them all!Some of which have passed on but will always be members of the band!!!Here are a few;Leon Estelle, Rodney Cunningham, Roy Thompson, GlennPatrik, John Mayabb,Jim Fox, Doug Campbell, Jeff Pecor,Penny Piper,Al Meeker, Rick Hardy, Adam Page,Mark St. John, Doug Allman, LeonardLadd,JeffWells,RickCooper,DCBellamy,Jessie "Spoon"Wilson 'Kansas City' Kelsey Hill, Ray 'Bags'Bagby,Paul Hartfield, Joe Whitfield,Brian Winkert,Bobby Carson,Bob Schnebelen,Andy Quick, Cliff Wharton,Matt Mathews, Joe Fears. In fact all past and present are still members!!!It was CHICAGO'S Legendary Saxaphonist Abb Locke that RocknRick did National and International shows with! Some of the great musicians to play and tour with include ;Abb Locke, Leon Estelle, Glen Patrik, Bob Schnebelen, Mike Malone's Soul Collectors, Sherman Robertson{The Guitar Man} , Johnny Clyde Copeland{Texas Twister}Grammy Winner with Albert Collins, and Robert Cray,JimmyD.Lane! Leon Estelle,Glenn Patrik, Johnny Copeland and Sherman Robertson have not only been"friends"but"teachers"!! But if not for the Kansas City talent which I found to be as"good as it gets" and God to whom I owe my "Love and Graditude" none of this would be possible!!To name a few that I Feel should be mentioned does not mean that this is all there is: Leon Estelle{Mr.Blues}Estelle,Glenn{Mr.BluesJr.} SonnyKenner, LonnieRay,BobSchnebelen,NickSchnebelen,{"Kansas City" Kelsey Hill}, Greg Camp,Billy{cabbage}Walker,Johnny Isom,John Evans , Kool-aide, Milage Gilbert,John Mayabb and many many more!!!!!!!!!The blues band: ROCK-N-RICK&THE ROADMASTERS have played clubs, festivals, from Jono's in Sioux Falls S.D. to The Paola Roots Festival!The first recorded project to be available is Rock-N-Rick- Beat A Demon 12 Steps From Hell- C.D. is soon to be released. Infact it was thier father the "Late"Robert Nicholas Schnebelen that inspired the song Beat A Demon ! Along with Steve McBride owner/operator of Sound Gate Productions whose talent and guidance is the best!
Another group that was formed primarily for 12 Step Recovery functions is RocknRick's {Boogie Leggin' Blues Band}which featured Al Meeker,Susan Barrett,Rick Cooper,Leonard Ladd,and Jeff Wells! Special Fund Raisers ,The Wyandotte County Fair , The Freedom To Change N.A. Convention ,New Years Eve at Kansas City International Hilton ,and S.M.R.C.N.A.[Show Me Region Convention Narcotics Anonymous] have been some of the venues played!!!
