Tarab

Tarab is an ensemble directed by pianist, accordionist, percussionist Francesco Turrisi. Tarab's different projects focus mostly on the influence that arabic music has had in many countries touched by the mediterranean sea. The ensemble comprises of musicians that come from different musical backgrounds, mostly jazz and traditional music. The music of Tarab varies between original compositions and arrangements of traditional and classical (arabic) music.
