About Me

You wouldn't know it to look at me, but I'm 1/2 Korean, 1/4 Scottish & 1/4 Cherokee. Was born & raised in Seoul, Korea. By the time I graduated from college, I had attended 12 schools. Buxom amazon woman blossomed into womanhood in a homogeneous society where I definitely stood out and on Army bases where I was definitely noticed. All this made me into the woman I am today.
I have no fear
I hold my head high
I am proud of who I am
Check me out!
Love comedy! Dining out, bands, nightlife & dancing are all good bets. I'm very active in dog rescue & other charities. I take my dogs on pet visits at the local senior home. I rescue homeless dogs and help make lunches at a senior center for homeless & low-income seniors. I believe in actively doing things to better the world, not just talk about what a good person I am.
Love being outdoors (although not so much when it's cold) & always take my dogs with me. I'm the founder of the Seattle Pug Parties.

I will choose my pug & chihuahuas over any man.
I WILL pay more to fly on an airline I don't hate. I will pay less for something that is comparable but not the biggest marketed brand.
I have this pet peeve about grammar and am quite concerned about the future of our society based on a rapid decline of language skills. (kind of joking, but not really) When I was dating, I quickly bypassed anyone that did not use the proper form of the 3 there's or to's, punctuation, capitalization, abbreviation, and especially contractions. (smarties, you know what I mean!) I believe we are becoming way too dependent on acronyms to express our emotions (come on, are you REALLY laughing out loud?). There's also way too much dependence on electronic relationships in the world. I want to SEE my friends, TALK to them, hang out and do something, hang out and do nothing, or even TALK ON THE PHONE (There's a concept), not just forward funny emails and on special occasions, IM.
Things I love:
Snuggling, fires, laughing, kissing.
Movies that make me laugh or cry.
French wine, Asian food and fabulous sauces.
Flattery (I will reciprocate)
Just about any music, especially live.
Art, theatre & outdoor events.
Flirting
Long, deep conversations.
You are a Career Girl!
You may not be a CEO yet, but you're well on your way to success.
You take your career seriously, and you wouldn't stop working for any guy!
An independent woman, you pay for your own car, clothes, and housing.
And men appreciate that - at least, the ones as driven as you are. What Kind of Girl Are You?

My Interests

Social awareness & involvement.
My favorite place to shop is Bombay & Co.

This is where we got married. :)

Hey, don't get any ideas, this is my astrological sign. :P

I'd like to meet:

Cool urban friends. I love artistic people. I'm a retired thespian, (or should I say recovering drama queen?) myself, and always seem to be surrounded by wonderful artists. Do you have a band, gallery showing, comedy set, play or other performance going on? I would love to come out and see! I also enjoy Seattle outdoor events. Nice people only. Ok, well a little bitchiness is ok. Sass is good as well. I am all the above, after all. Extroverts and fun people rock!

Music:

Anything not lame. (and yes, country is lame) Some other musicians I like...Matt Bianco, Sade, Erykah Badu, Fiona Apple, Huey Lewis, Lisa Lisa, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, George Michael
Prefer Johnny Lang to John Mayer My favorite myspace bands... http://www.myspace.com/beehive http://www.myspace.com/thefadingcollection http://www.myspace.com/morrisonpoe Guilty pleasures: I don't admit I like these performers, and I'm sure it's just sexual fascination: Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Kylie Minogue, Limp Bizkit.
In my book, there's not much sexier than Fiona Apple singing on "Tidal"
Hot singers I would most like to do: Jessica Simpson (as long as she keeps her mouth shut), Faith Hill, Fergie, Nikki Sixx.

This is just fascinating...

Group X - Don't Touch That

I am starting my version of Desert Island Discs and this would be "CDs you can stick in the player and play all the way through" (which is a rare quality!)
For a dinner party:
Whose Side Are You On? - Matt Bianco
Best of Sade

For a "party" party:
The Hits - Prince
Love.Angel.Music.Baby - Gwen Stefani
Will add more to the list as it comes to me. :)

Movies:

Anything with John Cusack, James Spader, John Hughes films, or any of the Monty Python gang. COMEDIES!!! Cheesy or REALLY scary horror (Japanese horror seems to be especially good). Sci-fi action, foreign films.

Can't watch movies where dogs die, people fall in love or family bonds...I cry like a freak! Princess Bride, So I Married an Axe Murderer, Friday, Half Baked, Mystic Pizza, Thirteen Ghosts, The Sixth Sense, Green Mile, American Pie, Can't Hardly Wait, OFFICE SPACE, Red Shoe Diaries. Stand-up: Denis Leary (No cure for cancer), Richard Jeni (Platypus Man), Mitch Hedburg (Mitch alltogether), Dane Cook (Harmful if Swallowed)!

.. width="425" height="350" ..

Television:

Absolutely Fabulous, BlackAdder, Seinfeld, Will & Grace, Survivor and Medium. Anything involving fashion, food, and interior design. Love the reality shows regarding the above (Project Runway, Top Chef, home makeover shows, What not to Wear). Fave stations are Food Network, The Learning Channel & Comedy Central. I love SO many shows on Bravo! Watch a lot of stand-up comedy. Fave comedians: Dane Cook, Mitch Hedberg, Denis Leary, Arj Barker, Dave Attell (how stoked am I that these guys are on my friends list?!), and Richard Jeni.
I do not own a Tivo or any subscribe to any movie channels. I mean, I just got a DVD player 5 years ago. Really!

This is great! I have even more respect for JT now! :)

Books:

Stephen King rocks! Anne Rice is so gothic. Clive Barker in small doses. Dean Koontz is a good stand-by. I am addicted to cookbooks! I can't stop buying them. Currently studying forensic pathology and psychology. Thomas Harris and John Douglas are good authors for this genre. Currently reading "Sex Crime Panic: A journey into the paranoid heart of the 1950s" (sounds like McCarthyism at its' finest)
and for fun, "Snow Falling on Cedars"

I can't believe this is an ad!

Heroes:

As those who know me would know...
Jean Claude Van Damme
David Hasselhoff
Chuck Norris
JK!
Seriously, my heroes are:
Mother Teresa.
Bettie Page. Jayne Mansfield.
Buddha. Man, that guy looks happy!
