If you haven't seen Shaun of the Dead yet then go watch. Also The Crow, anything made by Kevin Smith, any Burton (barring Planet of the Apes, especially the holy trinity (Burton, Elfman, Depp)), The Breakfast Club, Dazed and Confused, Garden State, Sin City, The Maltese Falcon and many more
