I am here for Friends

About Me

I have recently moved to the beautiful California Central Coast. I love it here!!!***I am a liberal & a feminist. The sooner Bush is out of office, the better. God bless our troops, let's bring them home NOW! I support Obama***I truly believe that "peace begins with me". "The only way to bring peace to the earth is to learn to make our own lives peaceful"-The Buddha. I believe in Love and I believe in angels...

My Interests

I love the mountains, ocean, nature in general. Yeah, "long walks on the beach" does sound nice. I'm kind of a romantic...

I'd like to meet:

Honest, sincere, spiritual people who enjoy music and traveling. People who take life seriously, but can laugh at themselves. I treasure my friendships with women and men. I am currently in a loving, committed relationship with a wonderful man, but am open to friendships.

Music:

I'm from the 70's, so I grew up with Laura Nyro, Carole King, The Rascels, Blood Sweat & Tears, Santana, Joni Mitchell, Donovan, etc. The Beatles. Currently I dig the Los Lonely Boys. More recently Steve Key, Tim Dillenger, SPF Music. I recently rediscovered Teena Marie & think she is an amazing artist. I like jazz. New interest in folk. Eagles forever!!

Movies:

It's my sick, twisted side, but I like "Goodfellas". It's my sappy side, but I think the perfect box set would be "When Harry Met Sally", "Sleepless in Seattle" and “You’ve Got Mail”. I love "The Color Purple". I also like “Almost Famous” - My nephew Brian Vaughan had a speaking part in it. He should be famous!

Television:

Who has time? I do like to catch The Daily Show. David Letterman. I use to watch Judging Amy, Sex in the City, I Love Lucy

Books:

Spiritual books. The Big Book. Old fiction: Daphne du Maurier, Steinbeck, Jack London. Biographies - Michelle Kort's Soul Picnic and autobiographies - Sting wrote a good one and I'm looking forward to reading Claptons. I also subscribe to a periodical called "The Sun" - mostly fiction & essays WWW.THESUNMAGAZINE.ORG

Heroes:

Laura Nyro, Martin Luther King Jr., John Lennon, Bill W. and Dr. Bob. Ex husband Wayne. Any one who has the balls to be true to their convictions. "To thine own self be true".
