With influences that include Paul McCartney, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Crosby, Stills and Nash and other current acts such as Alison Krauss, Dwight Yokum, & Tom Petty, Mark and Rob Crisp's writings are both familiar & new. Mark, at times writes songs with a sense of humor. “I’m Just Here To Make You Look Good,†and other songs he’s written are bittersweet and touching. When Mark’s mother passed away he wrote a tune “Mama’s Stew†which has already created quite a stir on Music Row. Robin, a part time backhoe operator wrote a song "Best Little Hoe In Town“ a really cool rock tune that has a funny bone to it. There are a lot of people who are thinking about what they’re going to do in life,†Mark said. “Now, more than ever we love to write. Going into the studio and coming out with a finished product is pure satisfaction.." Sharp Objects of Nashville has signed both Mark and Robin to songwriting contracts.
