Jennifer Willow Cleary is a vibrant performer and a singer of many tones. Her current project-- a down-tempo, moody experience-- was inspired by the stylings of Laura Nyro and Jenni's work with soul/funk composer Rob Darnell. With a background in jazz, vocal improvisation, classical and rock performance, Jennifer's roster is diverse. As a rock performer, she brings immense energy to the stage, strutting and belting with a voice that's one part gritty two parts smooth. She led NYC's all-girl new-wave pop-punk band P.I.E., and was part of the dynamic duo fronting ELECTRIC FICTION, a theatrical doo-wop meets 80's meets heavy metal band. Jennifer has been lucky to perform at such legendary clubs as CBGB's and the Knitting Factory in New York, has hosted her own variety show, and has worked the New York, Chicago, and San Francisco club circuit for years doing cabaret, drag, and comedic acts. She is currently part of the Poetic Notion Chorus in New York and is a guest vocalist for Chicago's Environmental Encroachment. She also teaches VOCAL IMROVISATION COURSES and WHOLISTIC VOICE LESSONS with her EXPLOREVOICE STUDIOS (
