D.D. Wookie

I've seen and done things I wouldn't wish on my worst fucking enemy. Do I regret any of these things

About Me

Frustrated, aggressive, yet creative, manic depressive Virgo bassist/vocalist of Bury The Survivors, a local old school thrash/crossover band. I'm straight edge but do not feel the juvenile need to draw Xes on my hands. I am not a vegetarian, although two of my best friends in the whole world are, but we all get along because let's face it, the world is fucked up enough without petty bullshit differences. I'm a huge music (mostly metal, though a good amount of punk/old school hardcore and a dribble of old country has found its way into my collection) and horror junkie, but not content to just listen, watch and read. I write my own songs, my own twisted splatterpunk horror fiction and would like to someday be involved in making horror movies. I would like to also point out that my love of horror films encompasses everything from the old black and white silents to the 30's-50's Universal classic monster flicks to the Hammer remakes of the late 50's-70's to the slasher and splatter of the mid 70's-late 80's with a smattering of current films, although for the most part, the 'scream if you know what I did in the scary movie' bullshit can suck it. Hard.

My Interests

Metal. Horror. Writing. Playing the fat strings. Hanging out in record stores. Trying to sleep. Comic books. Tattoos. The town of Perham, Minnesota.

I'd like to meet:

Honest, creative, loving people that aren't so fucking full of themselves that they make me wanna puke. People that I can have long conversations with, people that I can argue the merits of death metal versus grindcore, Italian over German horror, etc. Someone(preferably female) that I can snuggle with under a blanket on a cold or rainy night in front of a scary movie one night and go to a show with the next night. Also fellow musicians, writers, actors and actresses. Basically people I can be myself around and not fear for persecution. In particular, if I could, I'd invite George A. Romero, D.D. Verni, Mille Petrozza, Phil Nutman, Skipp and Spector, Jack Ketchum, Danielle Harris, Lon Chaney Jr and Sr, Lucio Fulci, Dario Argento, John Carpenter, Bill Clifton, Jessica Biel, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Vincent Price, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Lindy Booth, Jared Leto, Jodie Foster, Evelyn Ankers, Vic Morrow and the boys in BTS over to Wookieland for a barbecue. Chicken, Tofu and spaghetti and a great time.

Music:

One of the two things that keep me from going homicidal and NOT ending up on the news is Music. I love Metal, from thrash to death to grindcore to even some older power metal. Also punk, old school hardcore, old country, a smattering of blues, jazz and big band stuff. Fave bands are (outside of the first five) in no particular order: Overkill. Kreator. Vader. Sodom. Napalm Death. Holy Moses. Sadus. Deicide. E-Z-O. Xentrix. Detente. Fear of God. Jungle Rot. Blood Tsunami. SSS. Tankard. Evildead. Suffocation. Mortician. Zombi. Death. Dokken('81-'88). Candlemass. Dark Angel. Exhorder. Morbid Angel. Coroner. Merciless Death. Old Danzig. Old Megadeth. Slayer. Bolt Thrower. TSOL. Devastation. Carcass. DRI. Leatherwolf. Autopsy. Obsession. Destruction. Agnostic Front. Dead Kennedys. Benediction. Old Anthrax. Old Metal Church. Atheist. X. Old Meliah Rage. Minor Threat. Old Fates Warning. Goblin. Any band with the taste to have Tomas Lindberg on vocals. 45 Grave. Old Sepultura. Arch Enemy. Trouble. Anything with Ronnie J. Dio's vocals. Voivod. Suicidal Tendencies. Nasty Savage. Johnny Cash. Chastain. Jim Reeves. Nuclear Assault. Testament. Obituary. Emperor(until 'IX Equilibrium'...). Old Man's Child. Celtic Frost. Social Distortion. Sinister. Roky Erickson. Willie Nelson. DOA. The Doors. Terrorizer. Glenn Miller. Robert Johnson. The Cure. Many others.

Movies:

Movies are the other thing keeping me calm. First five are in order, the rest not so much. Dawn of the Dead '78. The Thing '82. Friday the 13th. Knightriders. Hunchback of Notre Dame '39. Halloween. Verni from Overkill. Mille Petrozza from Kreator. Martin Van Drunen from Pestilence. Jeff Walker from Carcass. Steve Digiorgio from Sadus and lots others. David Vincent from Morbid Angel. George A.
