I'm the lead singer and songwriter of Moonlife , an electro pop band based out of San Francisco.
It's all on the moonlife site...
...but for everyone who's too lazy to click away from this site, read on.
I was born in the UK to Portuguese/Italian parents in the city of St. Albans that was built by the Romans a couple of thousand years ago. I went to Catholic school which felt like another couple of thousand years. I grew up in Watford and Garston and even lived in Leighton Buzzard for a couple of years. No, I'm not making those names up. Leighton Buzzard is famous for being the home of the WonderBra and infamous for rotweilers that eat children. Lovely.
I always loved music and got hooked on glam rock when I first saw Wizzard on Top Of The Pops. Then I heard Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene and fell in love with synths. New Wave was next and I loved any band that looked as good as they sounded. All my friends hated the late 80's music, but that's when I started discovering the great music that wasn't in the charts. I started making music with my old school friend Martin and we played some shows around the Milton Keynes area but then I moved to California in the 90's and started making music here. My current band is Moonlife, but I also produce and remix for other bands. I loved the alternative scene in the 90's but once the 00's arrived I got bored and spend much more time listening to Kylie than Nirvana. Who'd have known, eh?
I love cats and hate dogs. Don't ask me why. If I knew I'd explain to my wife first!
I can resist everything except temptation. Especially when temptation is chocolate or an iced mocha. Mmmm.
I'll fly 8000 miles just to go shopping for clothes and salad creme.
I've been to Dracula's Castle in Transylvania and want to make enough money to buy it. It's a lovely little place.
I still need to see the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun. Well, I've seen the Midnight Sun from a plane, but that doesn't count.
The first thing I did in Australia was flush the toilet. It's true, water really does go the other way there.
My favourite ice-cream is at Zanoni & Zanoni's in Vienna. Yep, it has lots of chocolate in it.
Garston is an anagram of snotrag.
There are no stupid questions, just lots of sarcastic funny answers.
Here's what I'm listening to right now...
