comedy, the Sudoku puzzle on the back page of the Datebook in the SF Chronicle, chewing bubblegum, using my brand new megaphone at random public places until I get threatened to be kicked out for being a nuisance, chicken & waffle houses, cheap tequila, GHETTO BOOZE! , karaoke bars, collecting pimp coats, watching people intentionally harming themselves, frosty, blended girl drinks, chick flicks, British candy bars, playing (and inevitably WINNING at!!!) Scrabble, those cheap little hot fudge sundaes from McDonalds, pranks, new wave/britpop/synthpop/indie rock music, singing (badly), treading the fine line between being witty and being offensive, peanut brittle, collecting fancy writing implements, ripping apart and rebuilding computers, BEEF, singing in falsetto, soul food, Lean Cuisine microwave dinners, Belgian Ale, Belgian Waffles (why haven't I ever thought about going to Belgium for a vacation?)), Abba-Zaba bars, cold garlic bread, vanilla soft serve frozen yogurt w/ english toffee bits, cheese courses after dinner (especially epoise, morbier, and vacherin), reading about/hearing about real life ghost stories, writing inane .. blogs and bulletin posts, intense public make-out sessions, oyster bars, making myself a human guinea pig for all the latest diet pills/serums, shooting pool, miniature golf, Daisy Rock girl guitars, making bad cut & paste photographs with Photoshop (hoping to one day hone that skill to the point where I can become a "staff photographer" for the greatest newspaper ever, "THE WEEKLY WORLD NEWS"), PINATAS!!!, saying things that, if the teachings of the Bible are in fact true, would damned me to eternal hellfire, pugs, getting myself a gun and becoming a "hell-bent for justice" vigilante, building railroads, doing your laundry, sitting on a fence, and trying to make a dollar out of fifteen cents.
Early Factory Records shtuff, Throbbing Gristle, most of the 80's-early 90's 4AD bands, some old school hip hop, funk, white boy disco, Pulp, The Birthday Party, Suede, Roxy Music, Yazoo, Syd Barrett, and Belle & Sebastian. Oh...and how could I forget the Chameleons and Joanna Newsome Ahh....what else? I also heart The Smiths, the Cocteau Twins, Howard Jones, DUDITUDE , Squeeze, Erasure, the Jam, early Jesus & Mary Chain when they used excessive feedback, any band where the female vocalist sounds like she's only three apples high (examples: Altered Images, the Primitives), any male vocalist or band with a male vocalist that sounds like a castrato (ex. The Darkness, Klaus Nomi, The Bronski Beat, Thom Yorke on "Fake Plastic Trees), any sappy ballad by Chicago with Peter Cetera on vocals, any solo sappy ballad by Peter Cetera (what can I say? Peter Cetera's one righteous dude), Billy Bragg, the Flaming Lips, the New York Dolls, Gordon Lightfoot, the Postal Service, Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, the Go-Betweens (because "Cattle & Cane" and "Streets of Your Town" are probably the two most beautiful pop songs ever written), AC/DC before Bon Scott drank himself to death, and the album "Breakfast in America" by Supertramp (though "Give A Little Bit" is their best song). I've also been getting reacquainted with some old Japan records of late...though their cover of "All Tomorrow's Parties" still makes me kind of cringe. That song by Tracy Ullman (yes, she released a music album back in 1984 and was only known in the US at one time as a singer) "They Don't Know" is also pure musical magic. And, I also really like Rush, despite their bad perm mullets.

The Kids In The Hall, Any "I Love The *insert decade here*" shows on VH1, reruns of The Gong Show, WWF wrestling from the 80's-late 90's (the creme de la creme of ultimately bad storylines and over the top goofy characters), the opening rounds of "American Idol" just to watch that limey rip into the crappy singers and make them cry, any classic Bugs Bunny Looney Toons cartoons, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Pet Store W/ Marc Morrone, Get A Life, Seinfeld, old episodes of Jerry Springer, "Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law", Mythbusters, Extreme Makeover, "Days of Our Lives" back in the early 90's when they had the character Susan with her little baby, Elvis, Japanese torture game shows, professional wrestling from Japan (mainly high flyer and garbage wrestling, ala FMW, which I'm almost ashamed to admit I'm fascinated by), and Weird Travels
