Just visiting this planet

About Me

Sometimes I feel like I hit the jackpot this lifetime: good health,
great friends and the freedom to create my life in one of my favorite places on earth, Santa Cruz.

I escaped my boring hometown in England and set off to see the world. Adventures so far include being a mountain bike tour guide in Tahiti... surf trips to Australia... exploring rainforests in Costa Rica...jumping off waterfalls.... and skydiving with a special ops team.

Simple things make me happy - the smell of the forest after the rain, playing with dogs at the beach, hot tubs after snowboarding,
chocolate, margaritas...or just a good ol' slap on the ass!

My Interests

Following my bliss...

Exploring my potentials...

Taming monsters...

Standing up to tyranny...

Helping our planet and global family...

Deciphering nature's clues to the mysteries of the universe...

Adrenaline jollies...

Full moon adventures...

Theme parties...

Smack talking...

Laughing my ass off with with crazy friends ...

and playing with ninja weapons set on fire.

I'd like to meet:

Comedic characters. Spontaneous playmates

Those who choose the road less traveled or, even better, chart their own path...

People who create or channel beauty. Wise souls.

and Sir, No Sir! ...amazing trus story about the rebellion within the military that helped stop the Vietnam war.
Check out the trailer (DVD available at www.ivaw.org):

Television:

Rarely watch it.
Have you noticed? It's mostly being used to:
* Dumb down America
* Feed propaganda
* Distract us from shameful US foreign policy
* Peddle Rx drugs
An occasional dose of Jon Stewart gets me lauging at the insanity of our time.
Check out this priceless clip on bogus Bush admin. "terror alerts" (censored from Youtube so watch it here):

All those working for peace

- Iraq Vets Against the War, active duty resisters, and AWOLs for taking a stand against BusHitlers's illegal wars of aggression.
Lt. Ehren Watada (below) the first military officer to refuse to lead his men into the Iraq war on the grounds that it's illegal and immoral. Then he out-smarted the biased judge and miliary prosecutor at his court martial! This is a snip of his ballsy public stand that's unnerving the military and government:
"Today, I speak with you about a radical idea:
That to stop an illegal and unjust war,
soldiers can CHOOSE to stop fighting it!
If soldiers realized this war is contrary to the Constitution -- if they stood up and threw their weapons down --
NO president could EVER initiate a War of Choice again.
When we say, '...Against ALL enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC,'
what if elected leaders became the enemy?
Whose orders do we follow?
Enlisting in the military does not relinquish one's right to seek the truth, neither does it excuse one from rational thought,
nor the ability to decide between right and wrong.
'I was only following orders' is never an excuse."

Here's Watada, flanked by Iraq Vets at the Veterans for Peace Convention in Seattle...
