I'd like to meet:

Writers, authors, book readers, people in general who are interested in reading Christian Fiction

BOOK DESCRIPTION Linda, our heroine, returns to her old neighborhood with mixed haunting emotional feelings of her childhood. She flashes back to the times of being cared for by a loving and God-fearing woman who devoted her life to making the world a better place. Linda is also on a mission to fulfill a promise she made on the deathbed of Mrs. Carrie O. That promise was to make peace with her birth mother Vivian, and forgive her for the pain she inflicted upon her in childhood. Linda's story is one of triumph over adversity and hope over despair. Be prepared not to put this book down until the very end!

What Others Are Saying About Carrie O and Me:

I believe leaving a legacy as a Christian is very important, especially for the generations that follow us. Carrie O and Me exemplifies the measure of a Christian woman and godly wisdom. Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of how we should constantly “give and live” our lives so others can see our good works and glorify our heavenly Father. In this book you will find guidelines throughout the life of Mrs. Carrie, on how to be respectful, kind, giving, loving, and how to handle adversity and disappointments. The Bible tells us in Titus 2:3-5 that the older women should teach and train the younger women how to live reverently and to teach what is good. This book is a wonderful tool for workshops. I encourage you to read the book. It is very meaningful and endearing.

Linda Smith returns to her hometown and relives dear memories of the wonderful couple who raised her after the tragic death of her sister Ann. Linda’s mother became an alcoholic after the accident. Her life began to unravel and she was no longer a responsible parent.

Mack and Carrie Oswell lived in the neighborhood and agreed to take Linda into their home and raise her as their own child. After living with the Oswells’, Linda became exposed to a different lifestyle. Mack and Carrie O were spiritual people who gave her a great foundation and balance in her life.

Carrie O was a special woman who offered wise words and unconditional love to all she encountered. She was a God fearing woman who made an impact on all the lives she touched. Having great people like the Oswells’ in Linda’s life enabled her to grow up and become an intelligent, strong Christian woman.

Through out the novel Linda overcomes adversities and arrives at a place of tranquility and forgiveness to her mom for abandoning her.

This is a spiritually inspiring read that will warm your heart.

Faith Holds The Key by Francine Yates is truly an inspirational book at its best, including descriptive characters that become larger than life. As you learn about the uniqueness of each character, you become so entangled in the drama of their lives you don't want to put the book down until you have all the answers. In order to really appreciate what Mrs. Yates brings to the table , you must first read Carrie O and Me. Many of us learn to lean on the Lord for every endeavor, be it great or small, realizing there is power in prayer and faith, there is nothing that can defeat us. Looking forward to more literature from Mrs. Yates. May God continue to Bless you.
