cuz I'm doing fine hour to hour, note to note-E.S.

About Me

About Meghan... Scotch/Irish Green-eyed lady, 5'8 three quarters inch, and 5'9 with heels=-p (or in Flip Flops as one pal suggests) In my Mid-twenties, but I feel like a kid standing up at the top of the long metal slide at the park, ready to do a flip on the bars, diving into life -arms up enjoying the ride and the views=-)
Professionally, I am a Talk Radio Producer for Zohara Hieronimus (www.FutureTalkRadio.com) by day & a Performing singer/songwriter and Music Promoter by night. As a former full-time, now Freelance Journalist I am constantly striving to record the stories of our generation.
***Listen into the Clear View Radio show every Sunday from 3-5pm on WVIE 1370am! Many of our guests come from the arts, culture, and especially the environmentally minded organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region.***
**I have been singing and performing since age 10 in various musicals as well as different choirs, including Gospel. As a singer-songwriter I use my 1956 Guild Electric Acoustic Guitar to express a deep love for life's purples and blues by creating music that tries to touch an old memory and make it better.
**I was brought up on Motown, Sixties folk rock, 90's R&B, and the British Invasion. My original songs and lyrics are inspired by what I feel and see in the world today, the blues and the Beatles.
**I am also a strong advocate of the local music scene! Check out some of those musicians below, including Fools & Horses, Jess Banner, Shane Burke, Uncle John Sawbrier, John Lawton, Orna Ment, Will Charland, Matt Cullinan, Uncle Dave Huber, and Tears of Mars to name a few (see my Top Pals and ~LOCAL CREW~ under my 'Influences'). Rock on Maryland! =)

One of my favorite songs to play from my album is "Keyboards in His Eyes" which is about the late great Mr. Charles:
"Music is nothing separate from me. It is me... You'd have to remove the music surgically."~Ray Charles (1930-2004), (Ray Charles Robinson) U.S. musician (from DONTQUOTEME.com)

The comedian DEMETRI MARTIN,
who I got to see live in DC, Oct. 2006. He uses piano, guitar, harmonica, animation, and computer effects during his live performance, but the jokes do his stand up justice on CD alone, brilliant, witty and just enough wacky to brighten up any day. Paraphrased Joke quotes from Demetri Martin(imagine with comedic pauses):
I love digital cameras because they allow you to reminisce immediately. *Snap* Oh look at us, standing right there, a minute ago; we were so young.
Every fight is a food fight, when you're a cannibal.
I'm gonna buy a bunch of hermit crabs and make them all live together. And if someone asks to see my hermit crabs, I'm going to say'no they're mingling crabs'. www.DemetriMartin.com and Myspace.com/DemetriMartin

My thoughts...
I'm an optimistic idealist with a dark well of experience to make the best of. I express my love for life's purples and blues with a 1956 Guild M-65 Freshman electric acoustic and some lyrics inspired by what I feel and see in the world today. I LOVE people and learning about different cultures. I like to explore and travel to new places. I try my best to be conscious of the Earth by recycling, fueling up after dark, and reusing things [sometimes via art]. I BELIEVE that one person can make a difference. I think if you want to make something a reality then you can if you have the courage to do so. I would do anything for my friends *see fine print*=-p I think there is good in just about everyone if you have the patience to know it. I'm a Writer of Poetry, Haiku, essays, children and short stories, freelance journalism, music/movie reviews, and would like to have my own line of greetin' cards on recycled paper. I like to take the time to just watch the sunset, see the stars & moon at night -n- listen to the crickets, and when I'm up, to see the sunrise burn the early morning fog off the trees and watch the birds have their own lil party. I like to stay in the car to finish listening to 'that' one song. I think the answer to a problem is as simple as something George Harrison said: "If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there." Patience young grasshopper, patience.... *the wee bit of Fine Print* I'd do anything for them that wouldn't compromise my ethics and morals as a human being=-p
