Boy from the County Hell

About Me

I live in Yokohama, Japan where I operate an online CD store called Pacifiction Records for independent Asian music and beyond.

check out the latest Japanese band to hit NYC from Japan... FLIGHT OF IDEA

Island of Sound is a website I made after spending a year and a few months in the Taiwan underground scene. It's part travelogue, part rock journalism and part ethnography. Lot's of cool pics of Taiwan indie and punk bands and almost every profile has an mp3 clip!

Myspace Group: Taiwan Indie Rockers

Some things about me:

1) Measure twice, cut once.
2) Cause I love and I live... Primative.
3) Sometimes, I look up at skyscrapers in Manhattan on the off chance I'll see Spider-Man.... In Yokohama, I've got my eye out for Ultraman.
4) I like to dress smart in used clothes a.k.a Clean Living Under Difficult Circumstances.
5) I'm generally a technophobe... like I don't do well with cell phones, plasma TVs and iPods... but I'll take two way wrist radios, phasers, ray guns, communicators, teleporters and force fields anyday.
6) Je parle francais, mais j'ecris pas les accents.
7) I will go back to Paris someday soon... and Prague and Croatia and Finland.
8) QQ Shop! Q-QQ-QQQQQQ, Q-QQ-QQQQQ... I love the 99 yen shop.
9) I'm a strider from Central Park to Soho... In Tokyo I have to take the train :P
10) I'm not a fan of waiting in lines and having to talk to the people at the end of them.
11) I just wanna be a punk... or maybe a mod?!
