What Comes Around Goes Around

About Me

The Cosmic Stepping Stones (CSS) are an alternative pop/rock band based in Buffalo, New York. CSS became well established in 1999 when voted the top original rock band in Buffalo. Refusing to conform to mainstream constraints, the Cosmic Stepping Stones create some of the best original music to come from the city of Buffalo.
There are many talented features to the band starting with Leah Pinnavaia who was voted top original female vocalist in the Buffalo Music Awards for both 1999 and 2000. Leah has studied many facets of music since childhood.
Guitarist Joseph Pinnavaia has an impressive style developed through studying and playing music since childhood as well. Test Tube Rhino, listed below, is his home on MySpace.
Bassist John Caruso has been recognized several times as best original bassist by the Buffalo Music Awards, and has engineered recordings for the Goo Goo Dolls, Ani DiFranco and the 10,000 Maniacs.
Drummer extraordinaire Kirk Beers appears on all of the bands recordings but no longer resides in Buffalo. The band plays full out when he is in town or acoustic & intimate at other times.
The band has Full Length Releases that include "Symbiotica" (1996), "Garden" (1998) and the self titled "Cosmic Stepping Stones" (2002).
Numerous compilation CDs include Siberia Records' "No Moss" which featured an awesome Rolling Stones cover of "Gimme Shelter", Buffalo Music Collective's "Music from Here", CMJ's "Certain Damage", and TRS Radio "Deadly Sampler". Heyday Record's of California featured the single "Mediocrity" on the compilation "Forget The Radio" in late 2004.
Their version of "Jingle Bells" was released on North Coast of Cleveland's "Noel" compilation in 2002 and received radio airplay there during the holidays that raised money for the 911 relief fund. Leah was a featured vocalist on "Stand America" which also raised money for the 911 relief fund.
The band has been working with acclaimed Toronto Producer Jim Huff and plan to release a new album in the near future.
Previous to forming Muse which evolved into CSS, Joe and Leah were members of Toxic Love . Over the years many fans have asked about acquiring their awesome music, and now it is available! Click Toxic Love below to return to a day when long hair was the fashion and mainstream radio played real music.
Leah is contributing a track to the "Songs For Jenny" CD Project that is raising money to help find a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Please visit the myspace to hear this great song. It is called "Your Smile Never Fades".
