Buffalo Live! & 2 Songs From Buffalo Music Pod

I am here for Networking

About Me

Welcome to my little space on MySpace. It's a collection of kitsch and whatnot on the web. I use MySpace mostly to find and meet bands and musicians, especially if they are from the Western New York (Buffalo) area.

I produce not one, but two podcasts devoted to the Buffalo and Western New York music scene.

The first and oldest one is the Buffalo Live! Music Podcast. It's all about live music and is recorded live in clubs and bars all over the Buffalo area. The idea is to present the live music you won't hear on the radio or sitting in front of the TV, but can find not far away if you get out and find it. Not expensive arena shows, but cheap and even free and usually just as good.

The new podcast is called 2 Songs From Buffalo and is a short, sweet look at local music with a different subject every time. There are no rules and the music featured might be recorded live, or might be from a band's CD or web page. I try to keep them under 15 minutes, or so and bring them out more frequently than the other podcast.
You can see the latest shows and play them further down this page.

But if you really want to see what my podcasts are all about, you need to visit my main page for the podcast. You can find it at wnypodcast.com .

Contacting Me

While MySpace is cool, there are a lot of things I really don't like about it. One of them is, I don't check it every day. I also don't pay a lot of attention to things like Birthdays, Event Invitations, Friend Status, Bulletins, or much else. All I really do is read some of the comments and check out Friend requests. If you're a musician, music fan, or promoter, or something to do with music or podcasting, I'll add you. If you are looking for romance, selling something, spam me with pr0n, etc., forget it. Don't waste both of our time.

To contact me, visit the podcast page (above) and look for the Contact Us link in the Pages section.

I am a Podcaster...

If you request friend status or accept my request, I will assume you want me to help promote your music and permit me to use your sample music found on MySpace, your website, your EPK, or other public sites you have placed it on.

If I do play your music on my podcast, I will clearly identify you and the music and make every effort to help the listener find out more about you, including links to your web sites, music and music purchase sites. I make nothing off of this, it's all to help the musician.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Bands and musicians who would like to publicize their music through a podcast. You must have original music and perform locally in the Buffalo NY area.

I'm always looking for bands to feature in my podcast. If you would like that please contact me directly .

Please remember the podcast is about LIVE MUSIC from WNY, and I will come to your show and record you live. It's a lot of work both before and after the show to put the podcast together, so don't contact me for a gig tonight. It takes some lead time.

But if you're a real, performing musician, playing in the local area, I want to hear from you, especially if you're different from the mainstream.
