About Me

Formed in late 2005; Breakerbox is Christina Reilly (vocals/bass) Joe Pinnavaia guitar, and Scott Calandra on drums. After years of playing in other projects; the three found eachother among the Buffalo, NY music scene. Starting off with local shows sharing the stage with acts such as "Sanity", "Klear", "Bensin" and taking part in local festivals such as "Music is Art" (formed and funded by Goo Goo Doll; Robbie Takac) concerts for 103.3 FM The Edge, The Santana Tribute Concert in NYC and their own creation "Metal Bash" in which they would bring in acts from around the northeast- such as "Stuck Mojo", "Zo2", and "Irreality"; the band took their music on the road in search of industry.
After a year long stint of touring the northeast and focusing on showcases in NYC they hooked up with producer Corey Lowery ( Dark New Day / founder of Stereo Mud ). Corey heard the potential the band had to be pushed to the mainstream.
With melodic yet heavy guitars, driving rhythms and the strong yet intimate vocals; Breakerbox encapsules energy, melody, originality and music that moves you with a message. Combining what is new in Rock music today, with the soul and feel of the greats in the past. The first single with Lowery "Soul to Life" will be part of their debut release in 2008.
