Kashima Washington was born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey. She has been wowing audiences since she was a little girl. She sang with many choirs around the city. In 2004 she was the 3rd runner up in the Black and Gold Idol competiton. She Joined a group called N~THE~PINK with two other girls ( Michelle, from Jersey City, and Kenya, from Paterson). They performed through out New Jersey and New York for about 2 years. The group is not gone ( forever for all the N~THE~PINK fans) , they are on hold for educational purposes. They will be back! However in the mean time, Kashima has been working on solo projects. Kashima has worked with several artist in the industry. Cherrish ( Star Child Productions V.A.) Rufus LA, Taj Jackson PA, Mate-Trax FL, D-Moet NJ, Jay B Detroit , West, Passaic NJ, Trev, Passaic NJ. and Big Drawz, Paterson, N.J.and the list goes on. Kashima is signed to 3rd st. music group ( Troy Patterson ) and is being managed by Behind the scene productions.
Kashima has also worked through out the summer with Paterson recreaction ( Jump Start Camp) with children interested in performing arts. She is a Junior at Rosa Parks Performing Arts High School. Her music teacher Ms. Norma Jean Williams, is one of a kind and she demands perfection. Kashima has taken what she has learned and has tried to pass it on to the youth throughout the camp.
