Sounds Like: Debra has developed her voice through choirs, lessons in her teens, playing the piano and singing a variety of musical styles. Debra began singing in public at the wedding reception of her sister at the age of 11. In high school she sang in local and traveling choirs singing everything from foreign languages to a capella pieces and she was featured in school musical productions. College brought on a new era of Black Gospel when she directed the United Voices of Praise gospel choir. This diverse background leads her to sound like Sara Evans, Whitney Houston, Norah Jones, Amy Grant, Mariah Carey, Martina McBride, and Alison Krauss. Any other comparisons?
