He is the grandson of the late Ira Louvin, tenor half of Country Music Hall of Fame members, The Louvin Brothers, and son of singer/songwriter Kathy Louvin.A native Nashvillian, Billy was born on July 4, 1986. He grew up in the heart of Music City at a time when the Americana music scene was just getting started. In a family where music is at the heart of everything, he was influenced by many different musical styles ranging from Chuck Berry, Merle Haggard and Elvis to Nirvana, Maroon 5 and Paramore.His songs speak to the young, the bold and the intelligent as well as mature easy listeners with honesty, humor and passion that appeals to anyone who loves a great song.He attended Franklin High School and received his diploma from Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas. He later earned a degree in Recording Engineering from SAE Institute in Nashville.His talent for acting has landed him parts in short films and national commercials.
