That's the website I share with my mom. She's also a photographer and the website basically acts as a shared portfolio for the two of us. I guess it runs in the family with us. Although, she's got a more journalistic view on the world while I like to try and take the artsy route. I'm a big fan of available light. But it never hurts to know studio lighting.
Check out some pictures from a KARMEDY show!
I also intern at Skorch Magazine! Check out the Model Hunt commercial (I'm in it!!)!
I'm always up for meeting another photographer that I can learn from, and/or work with. I'd be interesed in work as an assistant or even a double for someone. I've worked on weddings, products and kids. If I lived in So. Cal. I'd be working with a friend of mine that's been in the business for decades, but, alas, I live in Vancouver, WA.
Also check out our buddies in Rayzing Sons as they throw themselves out of a perfectly good airplane!
I like most everything except the majority of country and gangsta rap. I'll listen to a lot going from Bach, Oingo Boingo, Morphine, Jeff Buckely, the Velvet Teen, VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berserk, Tori Amos, Ani Difranco, Busta Rhymes and a little bit of Black Eyed Peas. My husband's band is called Karmedy. They have a page here on myspace. Everyone should check them out, the music is great!
If you go to CD Baby you can listen to the first 2mins of EVERY song. It's awesome (and you can buy cds from there)!
KARMEDY: Karmedy
Heavy rock to an ambient groove, melodic vocals with lush harmonies. Alice in Chains meets Incubus with an underlying of Sevendust and Tool.
Comedy, cartoons, anime, some action. Miss Congeniality, City of Lost Children, Jeffrey and Wallace and Gromet count as my favorite movies.
I watch way, way too much t.v. I'm not even naming all the shows. Most appear on the WB and cartoon network. And Zim, don't forget Zim.
Current TV!
Piers Anthony, Neil Gaiman. I love graphic novels and comics. If I could afford it I'd go to the San Diego Comicon every year. :)
Annie Leibovitz. Both Rhead Lown and my mom are my mentors. And I am absolutely jealous of Sara Sanger's talent as a photographer (she has a fantastic sense of color!).
