Writing, composing, and playing music...Guitar, drums, bass, recording, singing. Catching concerts when they come around. (So I dont miss it and the band breaks up two weeks later. That happened when I missed Faith No More a few years back.) Being a part of the local music scene. Socializing...I talk much more than most people would like, but at least it is mostly intelligent. Sarcasm is a way of life. Comedy clubs are great to take the edge off. Networking with other musicians so we can all work together and create a stronger music scene, whether local, regional, or anything else. Taking care of our cats, which are as close as I want to kids for a while. (We can go to the movies without calling a sitter.) Speaking of, movies. Waaay overpriced now, but still good to catch some of them on the big screen. This is just awesome:
Friends, fans, and those looking to network. Anybody knowledgable about music, music business, or marketing that wants to be a part of the Kurofu Records, Karmedy, Purpurrot, or Wicked Corruptors team. Other recording studio owners that like to talk shop. Anyone that knows how to get into producing or film scoring.Past the business part, musicians as a whole. You can never stop learning and it is always great bouncing ideas off of each other. Try me!
Check out our buddies in Rayzing Sons as they throw themselves out of a perfectly good airplane!

KARMEDY: Karmedy
Heavy rock to an ambient groove, melodic vocals with lush harmonies. Alice in Chains meets Incubus with an underlining of Sevendust and Tool.
Also, I have joined with Christina Marie in Purpurrot, and we are working out the music on her visits when she can make it over here from the other side of the continent.
And check out these pictures from the Karmedy CD release show on March 3rd!

Lilo and Stitch, Man on Fire, The Negotiator, Emperors New Groove (Demon Llama!), Shrek 2, , Pirates of the Caribbean, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Scary Movie (The first was the best!), Nightmare on Elm St. movies, Freddy Vs. Jason (Yes, I said it!), the Scream series, Cube, Blow, Secret Window, Bill and Ted (Both), Dogma, The Bourne Identity, Panic Room, Italian Job, Primal Fear, The Score, 15 Minutes, Death to Smoochie! Surprisingly, I actually liked 8 mile (as much as I fought watching it). Even respected Eminem a little more after it. I'll admit when I am wrong. Maybe.Almost anything that has a decent plot. I'm pretty easy. That does NOT include Boogie Nights...I want that three hours of my life back! (Though my partner in WC loves it. Should I give it another chance...?)
Very little...I recently got sucked into Psyche, Eureka and Dead Zone, and I'll catch Law and Order and CSI Vegas periodically. Maybe some cool stuff on the Learning Channel. I use the TV for movies more than anything. I am always fascinated by the shows on the Aztec and Mayan temples and Egypt stuff though. Ghosts and paranormal phenomenon are always interesting too. UFO's have a place when it is interesting and not cheesy as hell, but it depends on the program.
Most anything by Stephen King. Cell was awesome. Currently reading about the music business again. Running the label, promotion, etc. Business books which I would rather do without, but a necessity. Audio books are a life saver for getting through the workday.
Musically? Morgan Rose from Sevendust. Inspiration both from playing and his personality. All the guys from Sevendust are awesome laid back guys that have not let becoming "rock stars" kick the ego into overdrive. Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley are also among the top. Slash is still one of the greatest guitarists. Maynard and Danny Carey are up there too. Dream Theater...those guys are just insanely talanted and know how to use it. And what musical list would be complete without Mike Patton? He who can do pretty much anything and still make it awesome.
