I am interested in just about everything to some degree. Most of my time is spent studying the various histories and evolutions of culture, language, and civilization. I also try to have at least a rudimentary knowledge of most scientific pursuits. Humor is one of the most important things in my life and I am always trying to use my knowledge of words and their meanings to come up with jokes, puns, or some other play on words much to either the delight or chagrin or those around me.
All kinds of people. If we have more than a couple things in common or if I just seem to find you that fascinating we'll get along fine. I am not interested in padding my friend's list so if that is the only reason you are going to add me, don't bother.P.S. I never thought I would have so many people adding me that I would have to say this but if you do add me, send me a little message saying where you found me or else I'm going to wonder. P.S.S. BAND REQUESTS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DELETED IF THEY ARE NOT PRECEDED BY AN INTRODUCTORY MESSAGE. If it isn't worth enough to you to send a short message before you try to add me, then it isn't worth me adding you.
I can listen to and/or tolerate just about any type of music but whether I would listen to it on my own is quite a different matter. I like quite a bit of the electronic music but after awhile I need to listen to something that is actually made with instruments by more than one person again. I've always been bad at the labels that one band or another is referred to as so I usually don't bother with most of them them. My favorite kind of music can change with whatever I feel like listening to but the old 80's deathrock will always have a place in my heart.
I've been getting back into movies of all kinds again lately. I think that is another good thing about having a diverse group of friends; you get introduced to things you might not be otherwise. Obviously, I am a fan of some of the great comedies of the 80's and will always have a place in my heart for Mel Brooks. You can never go wrong with a cheesy horror movie as long as it has some kind of redeeming characteristic.

I have more favorite authors than I do specific favorite books. Caitlin R. Kiernan, Storm Constantine, Jared Diamond, Carl Sagan, and of course, H.P. Lovecraft.
I don't care for that show.
