About Me

I am a Photographer mainly, but I also Design, make Cabinets of Curiosities and other art on occasion. I am interested in making Documentaries, Music Videos and Short Films, probably 10,000 other things. To check out my work you can either go to the View More Pics section and browse the various folders or my website located here: http://www.wickedswank.org
Lameass Artist Statement:
Since the times of Classical Antiquity in European history people have obsessively depicted death in their various arts. I do not see it as negative, but rather a form of acceptance of the inevitable. La Danse Macabre, the allegorical representation of art, of the universal power of death, is a strong influence for me. The idea that no matter who we are in life, we are all united equally in death. This theme invokes appreciation of life as it is now, as the dance of death will provide one last absurd comfort before we are all united in our own drowning mortality.
I try to create images that reflect and explore our inner struggle to understand the causes and conditions of human existence. Much of my work is based on the stories I create to explore specific events as well as my own search to understand the human condition. I hope that people will see this in my work. For example, I'd like viewers to see one of my images and ask themselves: "Why it is beautiful?", or "Why is it disgusting?" I realize that everyone will bring their own perceptions to their interpretation. Perhaps someone will see something I never would have dreamed of. It's all part of the ongoing creation of the infinite, mysterious puzzle to which we all contribute our individual pieces.
I am interested in almost everything, and can't get enough of learning and experiencing everything I possibly can. I am also a total d-bag.
"Simply put, I sought to escape from a monochromatic world of monotony, in the hope that i might find in a polychromatic world of diversity the means to rediscover and celebrate the enchantment of being human." -Wade Davis
Totally Awesome Bacon Statement:
..Someday I will probably adopt a french accent and make designer spandex outfits for chihuahuas all named Precious and be really pretentious about it. I will wear tiger print sweatpants, hideous fantasy shirts and fanny packs and talk about be-jeweling sweaters to everyone I meet. Then I will die alone in a hole. I think moustache's are fucking HILARIOUS, and not because they're ironic. I think Patrick Swayze should rule the universe with his awesome dance style and someday I would really like him to read bad poetry to me in a majestic field. My life is filled with rainbows, unicorns and sweatpants. I enjoy writing on my hand and putting hats on small dogs. I fucking LOVE Martha Stewart. Everything is hilarious and to be made fun of constantly. Comedy is my therapy. We are all douchebags.

I'd like to meet:

If you have a small adorable dog I seriously want to play with it. Do not hesitate to let me. Or else. Then I want Werner Herzog to narrate while I play with said dog. That is my dream.

Galleries, Historians, Professors, Curators, Comedians, Magazines, Producers, Record Companies, DP's, Production Designers, Art Directors, Set Designers/Decorators, Painters, Artists, Makeup/SFX Artists, Designers, Musicians, Photographers, Models, Journalists, Writers, Directors.... anyone creative really.

Here is a list of people I DO NOT want to meet:

BANDS WHO DO NOT WANT TO WORK WITH ME. If you add me, send me a message, or I will most likely bypass your request. I get way too many band requests.

ANYONE WHO LEAVES PICTURE MESSAGES. Just DON'T do it on my profile. I do not accept them because it bothers the living fuck out of me when I see blingy vampire/rose/fairys all over my profile, especially when you don't know how to resize that new "hilarious" ironic baby picture and it stretches my profile out so it's not even navigable. Also, DO NOT ADVERTISE YOURSELF ON MY PROFILE.

ANYONE WHO HITS ON ME. I AM NOT HERE TO BE HIT ON. Yes I am sure I am "hot lolz" or whatever, but fuck off with that please. It creeps me out.

I apologize if I don't answer or "comment you back", I am busy planning several picnics, but I do try to talk to everyone, and I really appreciate your comments.
