About Me

I had a professional bio that was written about me here:
MOLLY ZENOBIA ON-LINE PRESSKIT .
You can also check out my website:
MOLLY ZENOBIA .COM :)
And here’s me a little less professional:
My room’s a mess but I keep telling myself that I’m going to get suddenly extremely organized. I’m obsessed with food. Seriously… I’m a gourmet. I love to eat, taste and to cook. I’m lactose intolerant, but refuse to stop eating cheese. I have a green belt in Shoalin & Wutang Mountain Kung Fu. I love to paint and have a few different series going on. I spent January 2007 in Kolkata, India, and a few days in February in New Orleans. I’m constantly challenging myself, my beliefs, thoughts, and music creations. I have a small studio I put together at my home that I’ve decided to use to finish an album. Most of the music started out as a soundtrack for an independent film, but now… it’s going to tell a story. “Magnetic Detraction” is an example of one of the pieces. This one plus more from the soundtrack were produced and recorded by a friend of mine and my drummer for three years on the east coast. My previous album, ‘Wind Chains’, is a journey as well. (The other songs you can here on here are from ‘Wind Chains’) It’s 74 minutes of music. I sampled crazy unexpected things, and even recorded myself under water. Wind Chains can be found at cdbaby.com, and at Amoeba Music in Hollywood. The concept behind 'Wind Chains,' is questioning the things that hold us back.

I was living on the east coast for a while, but about 3 years ago made the trek to the west. I have played around LA… The Mint, The Gig, The Cinegrill, B.B.Kings, cool Gallery Show openings, and any other place that'll let me. Many great opportunities have come out of that, such as opening for the Foo Fighters, and recording a song for the White Stripes Tribute album (which is now out, and can be found all over the internet and in some record stores-- I posted a version of it hear for you to listen to) I will occasionally have a guitarist at some shows, and sometimes a string player. So if you see a show date when you are available come on down! Or you can join my mailing list, by contacting me, or joining at my site. My website is currently being re-designed for your ease and pleasure. I’ll let you know when it’s up and running, but for now…
