The Conviction
Dear Reader,
I am writing to you because there is a vital message that must be addressed. My wish is that you would take the next 5 minutes to carefully read what I have to say. I’m not here to waste your time. This message is for you and I sincerely hope that you would thoroughly read this letter. This is what I have to say…
When I go witnessing, I often ask people this question:
"If you died tonight, do you think you will go to heaven or hell?"
The usual response I get is, "I'm going to heaven!"
I want to address this point and be real about it. You may not like what I am about to say. But for the sake of your soul, I must tell you the truth and the truth will be alarming. What you want to do with the truth is entirely up to you. It is your life and you are entitled to your own free will. My purpose is to deliver the truth to whoever has an open ear to hear.
There are people who don’t believe in God and sometimes I will hear the unbeliever say something simliar to the following: "ok so if God does exists then when I die I will go to hell just because I didn't believe in Him? Thats not right!
But here is the truth.
Nonbelievers are heading to hell not because they are nonbelievers...but they are going to hell because they have sinned by transgressing God's Laws, the 10 commandments. The just penalty for breaking His Law is death. Death is not the Earthly death that everyone goes through as we see it. It is the 2nd death where your soul will be cast into the lake of fire, also known as hell. it is the place where the soul will be unceasingly tormented for all eternity.
Psalm 9:17 of the Bible says: The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
A criminal is found guilty in the court of law. The criminal has broken the civil law and is sentenced to prison. There is a bail amount he owes for commiting the crime. If his debts are not paid, then he is subject to sentencing. But if someone comes in and pays the debt for him, then he is a free man. Likewise, you are heavily in debt to God because you are in violation of His Laws.
If you think you aren't then lets find out...
Have you ever told a lie? Yes or no? if you have then what does that make you? yes you are right, it makes you a liar. Have you ever stolen anything? Yes or no? What does that make you? yes it makes you a thief! Have you ever put anything before God? Do you love your car more than you love God? Do you love your money more than you love God? Do you love yourself more than you love God? What or who do you love the most in your life right now? If its’ not God then I want you to know that you are committing idolatry. You are idolizing whatever it is you love so much and you are making that thing or person, your own god. Jesus said that if you hate someone, you have already committed murder in your heart. have you ever hated anyone? yes or no? Yes you have? Well then I must tell you that in God's eye you are a murderer! We have just gone through 4 of the 10 commandments and by your own admission, you have broken all 4 commandments...you are a lying, thieving, idolizing, murderer at heart and you're going to have to face God on Judgment Day!
This debt you owe God cannot be paid off with all the good works you do, such as feeding the homeless, helping the poor, walking an old lady across the street, working hard at work, raising your family, loving your family...nothing you do in this lifetime is enough to pay the debt you owe God for breaking His perfect and holy Law. man cannot save himself from eternal punishment in hell. you have sinned against a just and holy God. the just penalty for sinners is hell.
However, there is tremendous good news. Someone has already paid your debt for you. Someone you have not yet known, stepped in and paid the debt in full for you so that you will be set free. Your debt was paid by
Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, who took the heat for you when He was crucified on that Cross. In other words, God the Father sent His only begotten Son to go die on that Cross so that you should not have to perish! He loves you SO MUCH that He would crush His only Son to make atonement for your sins! John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
By rejecting Christ, you are allowing yourself to remain in debt to God and the penalty for violating His Laws will follow you all the way to Judgment Day. your righteousness is not justified by your good works because the Bible says that good works, while lacking faith in God the Creator of the universe, is filthy rags to Him. There is nothing man can do to save himself from the wrath to come. Jesus Christ is the ONLY ONE who can forgive you of your sins and He is the only way to Salvation...He is the only ONE who can save you from eternal torment in hell!
When you have come to truly repent of your sins and ask Him for forgiveness, you will see that He will cleanse you and purify you to a state of complete holiness. There is a such thing as living in holiness, which means to live apart from sin. When you REPENT and put both foot in faith, you will come to realize that this IS how life was meant to be lived. We were meant to be obedient, holy creations of God but our sins has brought us far away from Him. We became spiritually dead ever since we started committing sin (and trust me...if you don't know God, your spirit has been dead for a very long time!). This spiritual death is whats causing the man to become unreceptive to God and His passionate love for him. It is causing you to lack any holy affection towards your Creator. It is your sin that is putting up a wall between you and God and it is separating you from Him. The Bible says that sin gives pleasure, and indeed it does, but it also reaps the horrifying consequence of hell and thus, hell is down the road, waiting to swallow up the unrepentant sinner!!!
But God is merciful and He is offering Salvation to the humble hearts that are seeking Him for forgiveness of their sins. God is saying to you, "Lets tear down this wall right now and I will give life to your spirit. I will cause your dead spirit to become reborn and you will see the full truth. I want to reveal Myself to you. I want to have a relationship with you and show you how much I truly love you. My heart is grieving and aching day and night because I don't want you going to that terrible pit of fire and be eternally separated from Me. My child, I have always loved you from the beginning. I knew you before you were conceived in your mother's womb. I have seen every tear that fell from your face. I know all your wounds and scares. I want to heal your wounds and take away your scars. My child, I don't want to lose you. Repent and turn to Me and I will forgive you for all your sins. I want to restore you and give you the treasures I have already prepared for you. I will fill up that deep inner emptiness in your heart that no man, woman, or any material can do and you will come to feel the fullness of life. Please My child, come to Me. I love you so much!"
My friend, how long will you live? Do you know what lies ahead tomorrow? Are you prepared if you died sooner than you expected? I would not be here writing all of this if I did not care about the many souls that read this letter!
Think about this for a minute...would you sell one of your eyeball for a million dollars? How about 5 million? What about 10 million? If your one eyeball is of so much value to you, how much more valuable is your soul???? Please do not let go of your eternity!
God is waiting for you...He is anxiously wanting to have an intimate relationship with you. Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your life to be your Lord and Savior. You are not giving up anything except sins and an eternal torment in hell. God is ready to give you the treasures He has prepared for you. He loves you more than humans are capable of loving and He is pleading to you now. Say this prayer out loud and ask Jesus to come into your life and save you from the wrath to come…
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I confess with my lips that You are Lord and Savior. You suffered and died on the Cross to pay the price for my sins. I now know that You love me so much that You were willing to give Yourself up for me. You came into this world to die for me so that I should not have to perish. I believe that You were resurrected on the 3rd day and now You are seated at the right hand of the Father. Lord forgive me for all my sins. Forgive me for all the times that I sinned against You (confess your sins to Him). I ask that You come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. I want to get to know You and establish a personal relationship with You. Please reveal Yourself to me and give me the gift of faith. I bind my body, soul, and spirit to Your Hand and I ask that You guide me on the narrow path to Your Kingdom. Please be with me from this day on and let me grow in Your Love. Thank You Lord. In Jesus’ Name I pray amen!

Where is God's Love?
How was it, then, that the apostle Paul knew God loved him? As we have seen, he faced countless trials and tribulations, was mocked and hated, imprisoned for years, and finally martyred. What did he look to for assurance of God's love for him?
He didn't look to his lifestyle, because to the untrained eye, it didn't exactly speak of God's caring hand for him. His "abundant" life was certainly full, but it wasn't full of what we might think it should have been if God loved him.
Picture Paul, lying half-naked on a cold dungeon floor, cuffed and chained down. You look at his bloody back and his bruised, swollen face and you say, "Paul, you've been beaten again. Where are your friends? Demas and the others have forsaken you. Where is your expensive chariot and your successful building program? Where is the evidence of God's blessing, Paul? What's that? What did you say? Did I hear you mumble through swollen lips that God loves you?"
Now picture Paul slowly lifting his head. His blackened, bruised eyes look deeply into yours. They sparkle as he says two words: "The Cross!" He painfully reaches into his blood-soaked tunic and carefully pulls out a letter he had been writing. His trembling and bloodstained fingers points to one sentence. You strain your eyes in the dim of the light and read, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me"
Christ's sacrafice was the source of Paul's joy and thus his strength: "God forbid that I should boast except in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Galatians 6:14). Those who come to faith through the door of seeking happiness in Christ will think that their happiness is evidence of God's love. They may even think that God has forsaken them when trials come and their happiness leaves. But those who look to the Cross as a token of God's love will never doubt His steadfast devotion to them.

An Incomprehensible Kind of Love

What is Love?
1st CORINTHIANS 13:4-7
