Felix Stone

Although Felix Stone’s family surrounded him with music from an early age, it was his uncle whom sparked his interest most. His uncle Manuel is a talented guitar player, singer and songwriter playing mostly Mexican folk music inspired by Felix’s also musically inclined grandmother. Felix took piano lessons at age 7 and at age 16 was playing with his good friends in what never really became a proper band. In 1991 he purchased a set of turntables from some shady characters in a Southside warehouse. By 1997 he was playing amongst dj’s such as Scott Hardkiss, Graham, Donald Glaude and Josh Wink. He began writing music in 1996 using Cakewalk on an old 486. It was around that time when he stumbled upon his uncle’s untapped treasures, like his Roland tb-303 and tr-707. Over the years Felix Stone has incorporated live guitar, bass, keyboards and his own vocals into his works. He is now releasing his music on several labels and collaborating with other artists and vocalists towards an enlightened future.
