Arawak City Food Not Bombs is a working group of the Arawak City Autonomous Collective, a decentralized network of groups and individuals organizing against the root causes of social and environmental injustice here in Ohio. FNB is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to social change.
We recover food that otherwise would be wasted and make fresh hot vegetarian meals that are served to people at public spaces. We also serve free vegetarian meals at protests and other events, and also share meals with the homeless and hungry in our community.
Arawak City Food Not Bombs is not a charity, it is a tactic. We work in coalition with groups like Earth First!, Third Hand Bike Co-Op, the IWW, Anti Racist Action, Voices For Animals, the Columbus Indymedia Center and other organizations on the cutting edge of positive social change and resistance to the new global authority.
We are organizing towards a better way of life and towards a community that is for peace and an end to oppression in all its forms. Arawak City FNB has no formal leaders and strives to include everyone in its decision making process.
