About Me

Michelle Goldman, or better known as Syren, is part of a rare breed of electronica Diva's. Born into the world of music with her classical composer father and Song bird mother, Syren was introduced to notes, melodies, and harmonies from the very beginning. With much classical training, and many music lessons arranging from voice, violin, piano, guitar, clarinet, and many more.....this young song stress has developed a well rounded and defined musical background. "One of my earliest memories of music was when my father was composing his symphonies. He would have me sit and individually pick out and sing each instruments part. He educated me beyond belief!" After years of searching for her niche in music and life, Syren came back to her old first love of electronica music. "Trance is the new classical music of our time. House is just plain fun and soul full...and breaks.....i love my breaks! Its where i came from!" Now working with several of Orlando's finest producers, and the opportunities to perform with some of Orlando's finest DJ's such as Carlos Mendoza, Dromachine, and Devine.... Syren is making her way into the music scene and into the hearts of trance, breakbeat, and house fans all over! "I love to write my own lyrics because its a way to take listeners in on a journey with you. Lyrics of your own just have so much more meaning."Syren was introduced to Humphrey Gomez, or Devine from Devine and emilyPLAY in late 2007. after a few sit down sessions, the two were quickly making tracks together. "I had been looking for someone that worked at the same pace as i did. I work very fast, yet extremely efficiently." The two then formed their duo "ODYSSEY" together. With Devine running the production and Syren on the vocals and lyrics, this duo is sure to soar to great heights! Syren is also ft. with several other local and international artists. Outside of her electronica work, Michelle has also been working with Ilite Music on some R&B songs as well. Not only has she worked with music, but Michelle has also polished her talents in other areas such as acting with the civic and shakespeare theater, improv and stand up, runway and photography with Elite and Jon Casablancas, and also competing in the United States Equestrian Federation ranking nationally in her divisions. With her bold look of tattoos, piercings, and one of a kind style, Syren is shoving the "norm" out the door!!!
