People say that musical talent can be inherited, and that is carried in the blood; this would be the case of Sander Mendez. Who, since a very young age, was taught by his parents to appreciate music in a different and deeper way.
Everything begins at a very,very young age,when Sander, after watching his father, musician and composer, playing the guitar so many times with so much desire and intensity; grew the immense curiosity to feel what his father was feeling at the moment of playing it, it was then,when his father decided to teach him his first melody of only three chords.
From this moment on Sander decides to begin to practice playing not only the guitar but also an endless number of instruments including percussion and wind instruments. Then on having gone on from that time,he began to involve himself into musical events in his hometown, presenting himself in establishments and local theaters as a vocalist and instrumentalist.
Then, by means of a good friend; he discovers "dance music" and instantaneously stays surprised with the energy and intensity of it. From Electronica, Techno, Trance, Drum & Bass, Breaks, House, etc. Sander could always notice that each one of the different genres had its unique and special touch and that for him they were incomparable.
Later, he traveled to South Beach, Miami to visit his older brother,and by means of connections to the brother with clubs owners, it became possible to bring him into the best clubs in the city, clubs like Liquid. Crobar, club Space, Level nightclub to name to few, seeing presentations of the best artists at the moment, getting into and learning more deeply the world of dance music.
After almost one year of being in Miami, Sander returns to Puerto Rico,then comes back to the United States but this time to Orlando City. Here it is wrapped in the scene state wide where he begins to listen unforgettable sets of the biggest Headliners of different genres at different clubs, events, festivals etc. Clubs such as Firestone, Icon night club, Taboo, House of Blues, Roxy, Ciber zone, clubs in Miami as already mentioned, festivals as the ultra music festival and events as the winter music conference, without at least imagining that these would be the houses for his presentations in not very distant future.
Also at this moment, it is when, on having come to the city, Sander decides to obtain a pair of turntables, a mixer and 2 monitors speakers to begin his task as a Dj and decides to share with the people the energy and the passion that he has always found in music, in this case, Dance Music.
Later he collaborates with Carlos Mendoza, local dj / promoter with the idea of beginning to promote together and to organize dance music events inside and out of the city under the name of Heat Productions which would be just the beginning of a long journey together. Today Sander Mendez is not only at nightclubs enjoying the music of the headliners spinning the best tracks as he usually did it in the previous years, but now he shares the Dj booth with them.Djs like FERRY CORSTEN, GEORGE ACOSTA, DONALD GLAUDE, OSCAR G, EDGAR V, IVANO BELLINI, ROBBIE RIVERA, CARL COX, SAEED YOUNAN,ROOSTER & SAMMY PERALTA,GABRIEL & DRESDEN,ERICK MORILLO,DEADMOU5... and the list goes on? on...
Sander has gained himself the respect and the applause even of the most demanding public for his intense and full of energy sets where different type of sounds entwine itself to create that unique and special enviroment which only Sander Mendez would be able to create in the Dance Floor. If you haven't heard of him by now, then yoúre probably about to miss the boat. Sander Mendez, originally from Puerto Rico is the future!
