About Me

S.U.I. have been going for about 5 years. 2007 is their year to rise and explode, like a firework... or something. This is our year to prove ourselves, to leave a mark, a chance to summarise 5 years of preserving friendships, decorating unity, being naive, having courage, sliding into procrastination and youthful energy.
During these 5 years we've played many gigs and supported some semi-semi-famous bands such as Lapsus Linguae, Winnebago Deal, Forward Russia! and Tokyo Dragons.
What happened to our dreams?
All good things come to those who cremate.

Sounds Like: We've had some nice things said about us, so just in case you don't trust your own ears, have a read of the nice things:
What they say:
"Gargantuan instrumental soundscapes... Not only do they play huge, emotive, instrumental, alternative rock but they are practically a ticking time bomb."
Beds On Sunday
"Teenage 5-piece dealing in prog-rock soundscapes. Think Mogwai partying with Oceansize. On the moon."
The Roar Club
"A thinking man's band best understood by an amalgamated union of philosophers, sages, luminaries and other profesional thinking persons. Their music goes off in all directions and time swings like a cross between a trip to the North Pole via Australia, and a badly aimed rocket flying down the wrong leg of the trousers of conformity."
Bedford Metal

"One of Bedford's most vital young acts, S.U.I. are four teenagers with guitars, attitude and the wind beneath their sails.Sounds oddly familiar? Well not too many 16 year olds have even heard of the likes of Mogwai, Fugazi and Television and fewer still could mix them all into a heady mix of progressive rock and teenage energy "
Times & Citizen

"S.U.I. have created some winding and angular music that is nothing short of astonishing. The stuff is tight."
The Bloodloss Collective Zine

"Hard working, very ambitious and focussed."
BedfordEsquires.co.uk
"Great swirling soundscapes comprising melody & a powerful guitar sound. S.U.I.'s prog-rock songs twist and veer in different directions, taking the listener on an eye and ear opening ride."
TheRoarClub.com
"At only 17 and 18 years old, they already have an extremely impressive system of sound effect pedals and harmonious collaboration. The music is textured and deeply evocative. You find yourself enraptured by the beautiful blend of sounds. A brief jazz improvisation interlude proves just how innovative and frankly talented Sui-Juris are."
