Pressing towards the edge of consciousness

About Me

Hi my name is Mark Ford. I am a composer, cellist, electric cellist, keyboardist, and vocalist. Passionate and driven to write good music, I may surprise you from time to time with the diversity of my work. "Lucid Drops" was recently composed on my Mac Pro desktop, which became an invaluable composing tool to me within days of having received it. "Ice Moon, "Playing After Dark", and "Paroxysms" were composed on my Roland Fantom X8, which is an incredibly sweet keyboard workstation. I play electric cello with the band The Sui Generis (aka Seeking Sui). Check out their pages on myspace after you've perused the goods here.I am putting together material for a self-produced album, which will be forthcoming soon. Details to follow.I've been playing the cello for over 80% of my life, which makes twenty-one years now. (I'm 26.) I just finished my master's degree in performance at Florida State University and I freelance around the state with various orchestras and chamber ensembles. One of the best orchestras I play with is the Florida West Coast Symphony in Sarasota, check them out if you get the chance. I love composing, and now that I'm out of school I can actually write music. I hope you enjoy hearing my work as much as I enjoyed making it! -- Mark Ford Layout Provided By FreeCodeSource.com - Myspace Layouts
