In the heart of the Cheshire plain, you'll find a small town called Northwich, an area noted mainly for its salt mines, unstable land, and Roman history…. not the most likely of places to find one of the UK's most promising new rock bands.
Helsinki Seven are a 4 piece Alternative Rock band who in the last 16 months have been very busy touring the UK twice and supporting many bigger acts, such as Fighting with Wire (N.IR), Powell (FRA), Lo-Dep (BEL).
The band, made up of Joe Penny, Adam Bevan, Elliot Stimpson and Sam Stephens had the song ‘Moderation Killed the...' played on heavy rotation over at XFM who stated they had high hopes for the band. Currently the band have finished recording their new e.p, ‘The Trap is Set’ and are playing as many gigs as humanly possible to get their music out to you.
Recorded by the band themselves in true punk d.i.y fashion and mastered by Neal Calderwood, at Manorpark studios, Northern Ireland the response has been entirely positive.
Helsinki Seven’s sound has been likened to other bands such as Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Lost Prophets, Refused and the Get Up Kids, but in its own right has its own unique and powerful sound.
A mixture of massive riffs, gunshot drums, and three soulful vocalists make this band more addictive than the original Coca Cola. With over 100 gigs played and many more to follow the sky's the limit for ‘Sinki.
