About Me

Fww have been together now for just over three years, there are three people in this band. we live in the beautiful city of Derry in N.Ireland. we have played with great bands like biffy clyro, million dead, Reuben, yourcodename is:milo, kerbdog, nomeansno, inME, brigade, against me, seafood. we love playing live and we've been touring non stop since day one. We've just completed our first album which is called Man Vs Monster set for release january 2008 through smalltownamerica records. watch this space. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------ROCKSOUND 06 "Do what you believe in, believe in what you do and dont give a damn about anything or anybody else. That seems to be the philosophy of fighting with wire, both in terms of their songs and their live performances. Fronted by Jetplane landing guitarist Cahir O Doherty, these 3 guys make enough noise to drown out an armageddon-scale nuclear attack.Surprisingly for the barfly though the sound tonight is crisp and clear. O Dohertys guitar acts as a direct and constant electric current, causing him to jerk and lucrh around aggressively on-stage and forcing tortured yelps and screams out of his mouth. They are confrontational, agitated and bitter, their full-on, riff driven songs a (sucessful) self proclaimed attack against a seething mass of generic and unoriginal rock and indie bands" ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- KERRANG 06 Derry's fightingwithwire are living proof that despite the gazillions already used you can still come up with a fucking great band name if you try. More importantly the music matches; vicious and stinging in parts but applied with dexterity and finesse.
