About Me

Here's the new Gamers4Paul video, "save yOUR game" :
I also started a gamers4paul myspace group, and I'm hoping folks will start signing up. : )
---------------------------
I will give 100% of any proceeds collected from these Ron Paul shirts or stickers to Dr. Paul's campaign. (This is my attempt at increasing my impact using limited resources) I also uploaded the sticker images to my pics, if anyone would like to use them to spread the message, feel free!

---------------------------
I'm a gamer chick, and a game dev. I'm also a pretty conservative parent that sets limits above the normal recommendations. To some that may be contradictory, but I believe it is up to us to regulate what we and our children consume. I don't endorse game laws, or government intervention in our personal lives.
I once considered myself a liberal (not to be confused with classical liberal ) activist, and really felt I was working for positive change. The people I worked with were super nice and passionate about trendy issues. After a while I began to connect the dots between well intentioned action and coercive tyranny.

While working on a campaign during the 90's against Ron Paul , I learned more about who he was and became a supporter.
I don't believe that you can legitimately claim to promote freedom, while undermining the rule of law. I believe that HABEAS CORPUS is far more important than pet issues or social hysteria. I think that too often the Bill of Rights is mentioned rhetorically to support agendas which ultimately endanger the precious jewel of liberty it was enacted to protect.

I'm a nonviolent person, but I don't think you can be for Free Speech and against the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. I've known many people who would protest at the Capitol, call their legislators, pound on doors, and defend their right to beliefs and opinions...yet would not be uncomfortable with forcibly denying others the right to self-defense. Just the same, I don't think you can be for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, and against the Right to Privacy. I've heard many people who support RKBA, but are very quick to advocate militarized police forces pursuing & incarcerating people for actions which harm no one but the supposed offender. I've known tons of gun nuts who would be fine with federalizing all sorts of personal behavior choices. I've encountered so many people who wave the American flag but they have absolutely no apparent understanding of, or interest in the philosophical underpinnings of the country they feel is represented by their exceptionalist idolatry.
I don't believe that "there oughta be a law." A stroke of a pen is not a godly, peaceful, or even necessarily benevolent action. Laws are enforced with violence, and ought to be used more sparingly than salt. The Golden Rule is absolute wisdom.

I don't think you can spread Democracy and values through the use of force. I don't think you can trust ANY leaders with concentrated power. The government is way too big! The ring needs to be thrown back into the fires of Mordor before it ends up in the wrong hands again. While we're at it, we should toss in the scores of elected representatives who swore to uphold the Constitution, and then upheld their own desires instead.

We are witnessing a crucial period in the history of our country. I hope that the citizens of the Republic will wake up and right the glass before we pass the tipping point.

My Interests

Economics, the Constitution, free will, innovation and human potential.
Video games, esp puzzle & FPS!
The future of our environment.
Free market business and free market charity.
History, world culture, and humanity's potential.
Peace through voluntary exchange.
Barter. Teaching humans to fish.
I'm an artist too, but I have a lot to learn from my friends, relatives and colleagues who are more skilled than I am.

I'd like to meet:

People who understand that YOUR freedom is integral to THEIR freedom. People who question what the TV tells them. Cool people who give a crap about stuff. Especially RON PAUL !
Join Us!

Music:

As wide a variety as possible.. thoughtful lyrics, crunchy stuff, experimental, ambient, and melodic stuff..
Tool, System of a Down, Apocolyptica, Johnny Cash, NiN, and Chopin
White Stripes and Gorillaz, Claude Chalhoub, Scrappy Hamilton, and Pixies
Paris, Roy Shivers, and misc acoustic ensembles. . . . .

Movies:

Documentaries of all sorts
Triplets of Belleville, Fight Club
Lord of The Rings
Donnie Darko
Advent Children
South Park
Children of Men
Loose Change is good to watch...without drawing any certain conclusions, I definitely think we ought to ask more questions about what we have been told about WTC7.
I also found America: Freedom to Fascism entertaining, though it is rather flawed regarding tax law. Bless Aaron Russo. The Federal Reserve is a huge problem, just ask Ron Paul.

Television:

Television is terribly disappointing. Only the cartoons keep me informed. I dare you to read news on the Internet first, and then watch the evening news and see if you can detect the spin.
note: yes, the internet has tons of erroneous information, but there's plenty to pick from. If you're lazy, try these collections of articles: fff.org, antiwar.com. sign up for BOTH the Republican and Democratic Party mailing lists and compare what you get from each group. Heck, take a look at the conspiracy sites too, like infowars.com. Read articles from The Christian Science Monitor, Counterpunch, and if you get bored, go visit the msm sites like msn, yahoo, and FAUX news. at least then you won't be getting it from one source.

Books:

You are not allowed to read any more John Grisham until you Read THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE and the CONSTITUTION first!!!!! : )
But really, Heinlein, Tolkein, Ron Paul's A Foreign Policy of Freedom and I'll admit, I move too fast to read many books cover to cover...I like reference! (Encyclopedias, dictionaries, and executive summaries..lol)

Heroes:

Sheriff Bill Masters
Harry Browne
Ron Paul
Peter McWilliams
Rosa Parks
Henry David Thoreau
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Jacob Hornberger
Penn Gilette
Trey Parker & Matt Stone
Everyone with the courage to stand up for freedom.
and my best friend, who shall not be named.

Here are Newsvine's national poll results.
Since I'm just getting started, I decided to set it to the aggregate results, rather than my site's results. It should be fun to watch Ron's progress.
Please Vote!
Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.
