HIGH POWER STATION,
a sound system consisting of JIM from Zgorzelec (PL)as well as Selecta Esus and Beatzeps from Goerlitz (GER), that is supposed to enrich the Polish-German youth culture. Their selections imply all facets of the versatile reggae music, stretching from roots and conscious reggae to impulsive dancehall tunes and heavy dub, soca, hip hop and jungle styles.The three guys regard themselves as music promoters and mix Polish and German tunes, but also the latest regional productions into their Jamaican dominated selections. Moreover they include own productions and remixes of HIGH POWER STATION and W.A.I.A. RECORDS. Additionally they often don..t travel alone to their gigs and bring along supporting artists of W.A.I.A. or SOULFIRE SOUND. Therefore an evening with HIGH POWER STATION never gets bland and is always good for a surprise.The implementation of this transborder connection was in 2006. In a quite short time span they played on several shows in Germany and Poland, while al lot of experiences could have been collected. Amongst others there were common shows with Manu Ranking & Goldi, Bongo Chilli, Nosliw, Soultrain, Conscious Fyah, Mono&Nikitaman, Lazy Youth and of course alongside regional MCs and singers. ein Soundsystem, welches mit JIM aus Zgorzelec, Selecta ESUS und BEATZEPS aus Görlitz die deutsch-polnische Jugendkultur um ein Stück mehr bereichert. Ihre Selections beinhalten alle Facetten der vielseitigen Reggaemusik, angefangen bei Roots- und Consciousreggae, über treibende Dancehalltunes bis hin zu heavy Dub-, Soca-, HipHop- und Junglestyles.
Die drei Jungs sehen sich als MUSIKPROMOTER und mischen POLNISCHE und DEUTSCHE TUNES aber auch DIE NEUSTEN REGIONALEN PRODUKTIONEN in ihre jamaikanisch dominierenden Selections. Außerdem spielen sie immer wieder EIGENE PRODUKTIONEN bzw. REMIXES aus dem Hause HIGH POWER und W.A.I.A. RECORDS! Dazu kommt, dass sie sehr selten alleine verreisen, sondern sich auf ihre Gigs oft Künstler von W.A.I.A. oder SOULFIRE SOUND mitnehmen. Dadurch wird ein HIGH POWER DANCE nie langweilig und bringt immer neue Überraschungen mit sich.
Die Umsetzung dieser grenzüberschreitenden Verbindung erfolgte im Jahre 2006. In kürzester Zeit konnten viele Gigs in Deutschland und Polen verzeichnet werden, bei denen sie gemeinsame Erfahrungen sammeln konnten. Dazu gehören Auftritte mit Manu Ranking & Goldi, Bongo Chilli, Nosliw, Soultrain, Conscious Fyah, Mono&Nikitaman, Lazy Youth und natürlich auch mit den regionalen MCs und Sängern. Keineswegs unbedeutend für die Entwicklung des Sounds waren außerdem Backings für Ganjaman & Junior Randy, Jah Meek, Thai Stylee, Uwe Banton, Ephraim Juda, Ede Whiteman & Ragga Fuxxe, Black Dillinger, Daddy Freddy und Nosliw.
Ob in Polen, Deutschland oder irgendwo anders, die Jungs der High Power Station bringen mit positiven Vibes, einer Menge schöner Musik und dem Unity-Gedanken zweier Länder jeden Dance zum kochen.
