As i said earlier i am rather compulsive obsessive so these can be fleeting...
Current Obesseions - smoking, painting, smut, animals, plants, vampires, alternative lifestyles... i used to use fasttracker to create music,
I'd like to meet:
Apart from the two above, any of the following would be cool... Dr Who, Chaucer, Spike, Nazir, Adam Ant, Jim West, Alice Cooper, Blixa Bargeld... Lots and lots of dead people... and on a more realistic note... anyone who shares my interests in life, the universe and everything ;-)
Music:
i like to think my musical tastes are quite eclectic, a lot of people's seem to be... but mine currently range from, the newly discovered and most recent obsession - vnv nation , through Madness , Twisted Sister, Adam & the Ants , Blink 182 , The Men They Couldn't Hang , Suede, Alice Cooper , X-Ray Spex, Depeche Mode, Early Pink Floyd & David Bowie, Culture Shock , lots of traditional punk (but not the Sex Pistols) and sad heavy metal... And since being here I've discovered The Rohan Theatre Band
Voltaire ... Rancid ... Rammstein ...
Movies:
But I'm a Cheerleader - Splendid movie, quite arty, superb message
Princess Bride - Best fantasy film ever made... inconceivable!
Vertigo - Classic masterpiece
Mean Girls, A Knight's Tale, Sirens, Galaxy Quest, Water, Withnail & I, Fierce Creatures.. dare I say the Harry Potter series...
Television:
i used to enjoy Andromeda, Buffy, Scrubs... But since the Great Russell T Davies has resurrected Dr Who absolutely everything is just soooo weak... Okay Casanova (starring David Tennant & written by Russell) and Torchwood are well worth watching still but most of the DVDs that cover my bookshelves now seem rather redundant...

Books:
i am not the biggest of readers, i have a large collection of reference non-fiction but lots of it is scarily out of date - still that does make it reference and history all in one! Thus saying i am a fan of Neil Gaiman's Sandman novels, Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker novels... and those novels that have made me question my perceptions...
"Crying of lot 49" by Thomas Pynchon - Highly recommended... The Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien... and most recently Julian Barnes History of the World in 10 and a half Chapters... and i must say thank you to those who have recommended things that have changed my views... still got Tom Wolfe to go...
Heroes:
Those who live their lives and make a difference... anyone and everyone who has changed the world for the better... big or small... "i know it's the duty of those of us who care about the planet to go on living.." Why not join those who make a difference...
