About Me

I am Native American of the Mescalero Apache tribe
Known as "The Eagles of the Southwest"
(Yep, we are the ones that discovered Mescal Tequila)
Currently I am living in beautiful Spring Valley, Ca, it's just southeast of San Diego.
My love of cooking is the core of my being. And I was trained at the toughest school on the planet, My Grandmothers Kitchen; this also included all of my Aunts and at home, where I spent most of my early years just watching technique, timing and LOVING every minute of it.
To support my education (I am a computer geek by trade) I would work in Deli's, Diners, Commercial Kitchens and bugging anyone who could teach me some technique or recipe! After being in the Tech Biz for many years, I finally came to realize that cooking and all that it entails was in fact my true calling.
Currently I am creating recipes and testing/selling them at the local Farmer's Markets around the San Diego area, as well as gathering recipes from my Elders to put out a Native American Cookbook, so look for that soon.

My Interests

My Favorite kind of of food: Fiery!

I'd like to meet:

I can't help it, I just love this man.
Being the complete geek I am, if Alton had a pocket protector in his shirt .....
Well, a lot of hot tamales and tequila would be flying!

Anthony Bordain
This man has forgotten more techniques and recipes then most chef's will ever learn. I just want to sit and have a few bottles and listen.
